He attacks with fierce melee attacks, but be wary of his ranged ki attacks, as they can seriously hurt Sonic. Make sure to avoid his “Instant Kamehameha”, which will be telegraphed for you to dodge, but not dodging it will almost certainly knock you out. The second phase of this fight has both Sonic and Goku turn into their final forms. Now as Super Sonic, you’ll be fighting Son Goku in a powerful silver haired form. This fight, I cannot stress enough, is incredibly hard. Goku now hits extremely hard with each attack, and the AI has the boss manage to predict your movements. You have to constantly be on the move, as Goku can overwhelm you with massive combos. Not to mention his ranged attacks, which travel much faster now. One of his strongest moves is a straight punch that has a golden dragon, but this is a move you can parry- however, the window is very small so you need to be extremely precise. Be careful when firing a blast of energy as well, as Goku can actually WEAVE through this beam, and counter with a point-blank Kamehameha! Getting hit by this will severely lower your HP. Oh, and I haven't mentioned this yet, but Goku is one of the few bosses in the franchise who actually damages Super Sonic in any meaningful way, so Super Sonic has an actual health bar in this fight. After you defeat Goku, a cutscene plays, then you will go to the results screen. You can actually fight Goku again if you want to, as after the fight he still will be in this void, and you can enter it anytime from the overworld. Beating Goku also gives you a special achievement.
This would be a fucking dream come true. And the idea of it being POSSIBLE due to the potential Sonic x Dragon Ball crossover that is believed to be on the cusp of announcement from IDW comics makes it even sweeter.

in order to face Goku in sonic frontiers you must clear all of frontiers on hard difficulty as well as clear the final horizon without dying after that talk to amy rose as she is in an argument with chi-chi this will trigger sonic to face an ultra instinct goku from the moro arc
*You playing as sonic* run into a wasteland with nothing insight yet somehow you resonate with the tension in the air... it feels heavy... and then all of a sudden you can see a singular mysterious orange orb with four red stars in the distance... you decide to run over and pick it up... (Sonic: "what is this thing...") and then all of a sudden a while flash engulfs sonic as he is transported to the null realm...
Extra addition to the one from 9bitutopia since it would get lost in the replies: During the golden haired phase, gokuwill transform again after reaching 1/3rd of his hp, getting zappy zaps, more damage and a new move in his moveset, at 1/4s hp he will transform again into a long haired form with immense power. This form has its own unique moveset and an interraction where he goes back to base form after 3 minutes of being in it. After this he goes into a blue haired form while you go super, goku will be able to hurt you in your super form unlike most enemies and will use a technique called kaio ken in short bursts to increase his speed the moment he's attacking and while using his ranged attacks. He also has a devastating rush attack that will instantly defeat you if you get hit by it (the dragon ball fighterz lvl 5). As he gets desperate and his hp drops he wil start using more techniques like the solar flare and the kienzan to gain an advantage. And finally, when his hp bar is completely empty, it will start glowing white and so will goku, the game will not progress until you try attacking him, in which case a cutscene plays where goku gains white hair, *Speed blitzes Sonic* and appears behind him. Shortly after sonic will get combo'd to the ground with the chaos emeralds knocked out of him. Telling sonic: "If that was your full power, you have no chance of defeating me." He then lets Sonic get the emeralds again and the fight starts. (I dont want to type out what he does since its in the comment 9bitutopia made but I would add a mechanic where any basic attacks that goku dodges will be countered for medium damage). I know this will never happen but a man can dream

Sadly no, the Chaos Emeralds wouldn't be allowed in the Tournament of Power. They're outside items, and not part of a technique like Dercori's talismans or Roshi's bottles. (GRANTING techniques outright would be no different than a weapon)

Zeno WOULD care, he had to be convinced to allow the bottles and they had the justification of being accessories to techniciques Dercori and Roshi already had. I would like to see a mod for frontiers where you fight goku from base-Kaioken-SSJ-SSJ2-SSJ3-SSJ4 when he runs out of his normal Ki reserves he goes to SSG-SSGSS-SSGSSK-UI sign-UI Mastered-MUIK And sonic could go from base-SS-SS2-Ultra Sonic. But I know damn well we won't get one, maybe in a game collab bc of Sparking Zero.
Mephiles, who's risen from Shadow's.. shadow, killed Sonic in og timeline. Zamasu swapped bodies with Goku, killed GOKU with HIS OWN body from ANOTHER timeline. There is no copying here. If Zamasu arc was copied from 06, we wouldn't get body swap, instead we could get dead Goku, who will be revived by some lady, and after that would go Super Saiyan forms along with Vegeta and Trunks against some Deity

Eggman had to make a machine, with prep time and foreknowledge of Sonic using the chaos emeralds to get him in that trap, and that still doesn’t disprove that Super Sonic is invincible. The “ring limit” is an in-game mechanic, always has been and always will be, because canonically, Sonic keeps ALL of his rings that he collects, with the maximum varying between games, so unless Sonic is PURPOSEFULLY LIMITING HIMSELF by not carrying around more rings, then I can’t see any reason why to count it in vs scenarios. And yes, Hyper Sonic is also invincible.

Sadly no, the Chaos Emeralds wouldn't be allowed in the Tournament of Power. They're outside items, and not part of a technique like Dercori's talismans or Roshi's bottles. (GRANTING techniques outright would be no different than a weapon)

@@antinixsupernovaPotara is a form of fusion, which the Zenos already loved. THAT is a special case. Zeno WOULD care, he had to be convinced to allow the bottles and they had the justification of being accessories to techniciques Dercori and Roshi already had.
The Chaos Emeralds allowing the Sonic team to compete is irrelevant, rules were not lifted for weaker teams.

If Zamasu arc was copied from 06, we wouldn't get body swap, instead we could get dead Goku, who will be revived by some lady, and after that would go Super Saiyan forms along with Vegeta and Trunks against some Deity

@@mugenkage4965 In game he is very much not invincible it has been knoked out of him by knuckles, drained out of him by Eggman. Absolutely not invincible and can be drained by means of the master emerald or even corrupted and has a ring limit. Hyper sonic could possibly be invincible but he hasn't been around in years and also has a limit based on rings

The only plausible way Knuckles could knock Sonic out of his super form is due to the his connection with the Master Emerald, which can shut off the chaos emeralds, it’s either that, or inconsistency on the writers’ part because stronger enemies than Knuckles couldn’t pull off such a thing. Eggman had to make a machine, with prep time and foreknowledge of Sonic using the chaos emeralds to get him in that trap, and that still doesn’t disprove that Super Sonic is invincible. The “ring limit” is an in-game mechanic, always has been and always will be, because canonically, Sonic keeps ALL of his rings that he collects, with the maximum varying between games, so unless Sonic is PURPOSEFULLY LIMITING HIMSELF by not carrying around more rings, then I can’t see any reason why to count it in vs scenarios. And yes, Hyper Sonic is also invincible.
