- Day 1 of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's two day interaction with Vietnamese people in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong as well as a group at his residence in Dharamsala, HP, India on May 21-22, 2018. On day one, after a brief talk, His Holiness answers questions from the audience. On the second day His Holiness gives a White Manjushri Permission.
May His Holiness have a long and healthy life.

Technology takes advantage of weakness in an overwhelming way and purposefully. Where in years gone by we could find regular respite from various technologies, these days we're being convinced that they should be with us 24/7 and not just phones. Think about everything near you in and out of your home and workplace that has a computer chip or camera in it. Think about how often you think without the constant influence and consideration of information and the tracking of it. History repeats itself to be sure; we've been here before. Seneca spoke of it 2000 years ago. The uselessness of data without wisdom. But this is an insidious time and feels to me at least, much more difficult to unglue from. Walk out you front door and technology follows you. When I was a kid, walk out the front door and into immediate relif from it.
