You can see my first run with the trilobite on my channel and although it’s a little on the weak side for the type of rock I’m using it on I know it’s a beginner tool and isn’t designed for it so I’ll stick to sandstone also my compressed isn’t overly powerful so I only have about 3 minutes before I have to repressurise
We did see! My advice would be to hold it a little more like a pen, which will give you more control. Check out the video we have on the Trilobite here - th-cam.com/video/QehahLzIgak/w-d-xo.html. Harder rocks will be slower going than softer rocks with the Trilobite, but you can through pretty much anything at it! It might just need a little more patience than with a more powerful air scribe. You will have the advantage with it that it can be very delicate, so when you're working on the centres of ammonites, you'll have a lot of control and precision. When you look at a fossil someone has prepped, you can't tell how long it took them, but you can tell how careful they were with the finishing touches :).
Hello there, if you get a chance to recommend a good, solid scribe tool for me to purchase, I've been researching for a few days now, i would very much appreciate a suggestion. Around $300 or less would be great. Thanks for your time. Great videos
Yes, we're working on a video for each of the different pens 😁. We hadn't thought of doing one for the different stylus options though and that's a brilliant idea - definitely one to do at some stage!
I have the problem with the ammonite air scribe, that only air comes out at the tip. 😢 Can I try the same solution on my pen like in the video? It’s almost brand new, maintaining it and still doesn’t work. 😭
Hi! Yes, the usage and troubleshooting steps are the same! Don't worry, your tool is covered by a full warranty and we're always on hand to help. Drop us an email at info@zoicpalaeotech.co.uk with the symptoms and we'll get it up and running properly 👍🙏

Will we get vids for the other pens in the range too? And which pens/ styluses are best for different matrices etc? TIA!
