I’m from Sweden and SAS is my favorite airline. I was born in Stockholm but raised in the US. We go back quite often to visit. We moved over here when I was 9 and I’m now 48.
Does anyone else get hyped about a trip and watch videos about people flying to the same place as you will? Or is that just me. Cuz I’m going with sas from Austin to Washington DC to Stockholm to Germany😝😝 these next few weeks are gonna be the longest of my life waiting for my flight
I've never flown SAS but looks very good for the money. Icelandair had similar deals when they first launched a lot of their US destinations and I recall their service being pretty good.
I think for a long flight they should be offering drinks complimentary, I think that’s wrong 😑. It’s disgusting because people get dehydrated on longer flights
Was there a direct flight from Stockholm to Dusseldorf? It sounds to be a domestic flight for only a couple of hours and then you didnt have to stopover in Copenhagen.
I find most of SAS aircrafts are pretty old, but the bookshelf in cabin is a big surprise. I have never seen any flights with a bookshelf where you can select books from in cabin! SAS doesnt fly across many long haul flights, so we wont be able to see SAS in Oceania.
Nice video! looks like sas really is making some progress. got a question though: are there chances of an in-flight experience of the new Eurowings long haul? it would be first on TH-cam! haven't found a video about that yet... cheers
Hi, actually I booked the EW A330 three times: CGN-PMI was downgraded to an A320 when the A330 lost its engine cowling and CGN-DXB-CGN was replaced by a LH A340 due to crew shortage. Gave it up meanwhile. ;)
4:30 Drinks on an overseas flight like that are not complimentary??? Pretty sad..... I recall getting free drinks and an amazing breakfast on a short Heathrow to Copenhagen flight.
I flew last week with BA to san francisco and then return home from santa ana near L.A (short runway) to Chicago and then LHR and then manchester. Paid just 300 EUR return but the return leg was on an AA 767 with no seatback entertainment and an old interior. How much was your flight? By the way I absolutely loved san fran, vegas and L.A. The best holiday I have ever had, and I have flown to many, many places
Yeah; did the same trip in Nov last year. Completely agree! This particular flight was 79$. The AA 777 was really great. One should avoid the 767 whenever possible but I know sometimes the fare outweighs the cabin. :P

I can't tell what is was by looking at it. It was some sort of meat with mashed sweet potato I think. Didn't eat the hot meal though. Have a nice flight!

Question: If your in economy and you are claustrophobic or have a medical condition etc, And there is extra space available in first class. Will they let you move? On International flights I will add. I.E I will be taking this airline from Lax to Stockholm and I was wondering.
You don't have to pay for the meals on long haul. You get one free soft drink, with the meal, but alcohol and additional soft drinks have to be paid for. Coffee, tea and water is free throughout the flight.
The meal tray looks ok and not great. I can not believe that they charge for wine/beer and soft drinks on an International flight.I was going to purchase a ticket today on SAS to Europe. I was doing a research on seats and services. Even shitty AA/UA & Delta offer complimentary soft drinks! Turkish Airlines & Qatar even offer amenity kits in Economy class!
Is water offered for free now on european flights?? I always traveled on SAS and last time I did was last summer and I asked for water they said " you can purchase a bottle" as they only served coffee or tea for free. Couldn't believe it.
They do offer free water on short haul flights, but they´ve been told to do their best to sell a full bottle. I always get a free glass of water on SAS
+GermanSpottingHD yesterday I ride sas to London from Newark it was nightmare our flight delayed 8 hrs from Newark I miss connection to London actually I like sas best airline I don't even care if it delayed from Newark it was load 90% factor

The cabin looks a lot like on Lufthansa's refurbished A340-300s. Great video, bud! :)

I think the reason it is so cheap is to try and compete with Norwegian, they too have a very similar service for very cheap prices!
