    2 easy priest fixes: 1. Light the beam for the nearest priest a different color; 2. Indicate where your home priest is set and have a check before you reset it.

    Going to try and play again after a year off. I see some new updates that look promising.
    To get new players with a subscription model they will need to do many free play weekends to get a good buzz going.

    Good list. One simple thing they could add is an option to toggle sprint instead of holding... That would open up more more opportunities for the existing hotkeys. If you could auto run and toggle sprint on/off, then you wouldn't have to double bind keys under shift.

    from the recently released ptr notes it seems like at least 3-4 of some of the smaller tweaks made it in, hopefully they take some of the larger challenging items from this list for future QOL focused patches.

    Good ideas, although Henrik doesn't have the capacity to listen it seems. Good, obvious, easy fixes are provided to him daily and nothing is acted upon.. or it's acted upon 2 years later. Weapon switch being cleaned up is one obvious example.

    I do enjoy the hardcore PvP aspect of it but this game needs to be way more new player friendly to retain people, especially when you're charging an initial cost plus sub

    I'll say an opinion which isn't very welcome among the community, but is also a reason why the playerbase is TINY : Make the game more viable for solo player. ATTENTION : I'm not saying the game should caters principally to solo players. I'm saying that being solo should also be viable. As it stands now, most content is locked off. No dungeon, nothing to do really other than your unique chosen profession, be it crafter, or tamer, and in the end, still be of use to guilds. Make being solo fun, and being in a guild, still much better, but optional.
    Secondly, the game is still so much a noob grinder than the first answer everyone receives for ANY question, even crafting or profession questions, is usually "join a guild they'll give it to you". That's a major problem, it makes the game boring. There's nothing more boring than joining a guild, having a full suit of heavy armor given and all the weapon you need, and the only thing left to do in game every time you log in is fight PvP. Then that game is nothing else than an Arena game with a bigger arena. THAT'S, among other problems, why the player base is always dwingling.
    Have laws that can make you perma red and makes PKers unable to go into lawful towns. Have more red towns and camps around the map to counter that. Have citi guards, the unbeatable one, patrol at regular interval the major roads among major cities, so you don't need a guild just to move your stuff, but still are in danger if you don't find a patrol while travelling, while leaving the wilderness a completely wild zones with the best loot being there.
    Make exploring attractive : add RNJ loot in chests in ruins and other POI that are worth the trouble, gard it with mini boss THAT ARE BEATABLE by solo players other than MA, not Trolls and such (POI loot, i'm not speaking about dungeons loot). Make some LITE dongeons that can be 100% done solo, while leaving the major one like Necro dungeons a multiplayer "only" one.
    Basically, turn the game into a real unique mmorpg, instead of just an Arena Fighting game with extra steps.

    Good video with a lot of good suggestions, some of them are already in the way and some even in sprint 1 patch. Some good qol suggestions for sure we will see where we could fit them.

    I am a First person Melee veteran of both chiv 1(900hrs), mordhau(3k hrs), and chiv 2(600 hrs). I've got about 500hrs in MO2 so far and the biggest problem specifically to the melee combat that I can see is the lack of clear initiative. The fact that I can get parried and still IMMEDIATELY swing after is absurd. Even with the counter reduced penalty. There needs to be at least a 1 second delay after I get parried before I can wind up another attack. The same needs to happen when I get hit. When hit with a full damage swing, I should be hit stunned from winding up another attack for half a second or so. Just my thoughts. I think melee combat would drastically improve.

    Literally I don't think your changes addressed the major problems with the game at all. It's the lack of life for the MMORPG, you need to look at what the genre is, and what the game is lacking. The game lacks life.
    The game is a zerg of pvp. PVP is good, but mindless pvp doesnt make an MMORPG by itself and if one believes that they don't have a good grasp on what makes a game good.
    The game has stagnant NPC's looking like robots, with no quests, hidden stories, or deep lore. It's a shame as it robs life from the game, there's nothing wrong with having these things in an RPG literally every good RPG has them.
    *Sadly, I believe despite you taking the time (and it is cool that you care for the game don't get me wrong) to make this video that nearly all of your ideas not only don't address the conceptual problem with the game-- but they make the game worse.*
    *It is extremely important for me to emphasize this, that your suggestions fail to tackle the main issue and actually erase the fine details of what is actually good about Mortal Online 2.*
    *You want to add fast travel*
    *You want to make crafting and skilling up easier*
    *You want to remove taking weapons*
    *You want to remove class diversification by essentially making everyone a capable foot soldier, and reducing the competency of other play styles*
    *You want to remove, essentially, all the little details and the original thought put into the game, the entire core, the foundation and immersion and make it more an empty game and you don't even realize it*
    I'm slightly sorry, but I genuinely believe your suggestions and feedback are toxic and undermine the game although I know you don't mean it to do that; much akin to when "the community" (quote on quote, more like the loudest people in the room creating mob mentality and uni-thought) begged the wow developers to add group finders, simplified gameplay, etc., until it became the empty hole it was today-- then wondered where it all went wrong.

    I think... what make new players quit the game is not having a sense of direction of how to get things done in the game. I would suggest to incorporate missions in the game/tasks. Let say that you want the elementalism going... well you have 20 objectives with directions(you go there,there and there)... beside that give new players 7 days where they can't be ataked or attack by other players with the option to cancel it sooner! have this useless topaz or gems that drop from mining or npc to be used for making better weapons with different properties... being able to get a bigger gem from 3/5 smaller gems like diablo or new world! have a items map or potions making map on what you need to get ...I am playing the game for 3 months and I have no clue what potions do... how about making them?!veteran players leave from different reasons, new players leave from different reasons and on top of this the game requires sub. The help should not come from youtube... the understanding of the game should come from playing it! whoever is responsible they have no idea how woman brain works! Is like having a great party that will last 1 week on a boat in the middle of a lake, everyone is invited but only few people heard of the event, fewer find ways to get to it, some try to swim but get tired and turn around) and the ones being there for 3 days leave because of the lack of organization and poor understanding of the staff in creating a great party!

    Another great idea that I've had for a while is it would be nice to choose if your character is left or right-handed. This would especially be nice for mounted archery. Because unless you pay attention to how a player is holding a bow you would not know which side of the horse they're going to be shooting off of. Which would make that part of the game a lot more interesting . Plus for me it would work a lot better we're shooting off of the other side

    One of the things that always bothered me with pets in MO2 is how Henrik is trying to copy Ultima Online, but hasn't done half of the stuff that game and others like it have done with pets. Resurrecting pets is a huge thing, because you're investing a lot of time into a pet, it would make a lot more sense for MO2 to have it as an option. In addition to this, the "pet point" system from Ultima and other similar games is, in my opinion, vastly superior to how they do it in MO2.
    There are really a lot of annoying decisions that Henrik and SV have made, a lot of the time it's like they're trying to reinvent the wheel, and end up making a working but inferior version.

    Everything sound very good!! I really hope Henrik is listening to this! I would add one more thing, to be able to unlvl the pets also. Just make so you can set the pet lvl to a - sign to decrease lvls. As a tamer you sometimes have to mix and match pets. And when you lvl 1 pet to high it ruins the hole thing. Its just really enoying..

    I still think there should be an option to craft some primitive weapons/basic armor with low DPS and durability in the wilderness without crafting tables (you just pick up some basic materials like rock, stick, grass, etc.). To make it possible for the players to survive for example a path for a new horse in the wilderness or to the town/guild village. And then remove the heaven tutorial sword!

    I like your ideas, from a new player perspective, which I am, the #1 thing I would like to see is a safe rest stop in dungeons near boss... example it takes me 30 minutes to an hour to get down too the bottom of the Rat dungeon and now I need to log off for a few hours, to go to work or get some sleep... I need to wait until a group of people decide to fight it.. I can easily join them and get my accomplished task to get my cape... currently... if I log out in dungeon I most likely will die... just a safe spot to log out.. that would be very beneficial too game play in my opinion...

      - We should be able to go to a "weapon trainer" and choose a starter weapon any time
      - Make bandit leaders / Veteran bandits drop sharpening stones or weight stones to repair different types of weapons. Have it lower max durability
      - Taming as a profession could be awesome, or they can make it secondary
      - Trading Dominated pets would be great.
      - Reviving pets would be such a good fix. Even paying for them is a fair option
      - Bandits and Outlaws should drop weapons or armors that a noob can use (make it low dura with w/e stats) and also add the option to Salvage shit equipment back into w/e they were made of.
      - A Feed Pouch to auto feed pets would be great!
      - A Mage bag that holds reagents. The bag itself is soulbound while its contents are not. But let EVERY BOSS in the game be something you HAVE to kill to upgrade that specific bags size!
      - More Small sized horse spawns (3-4 horses in a spot max) so it incentivizes players to move into the wilderness
      - Make ALL dungeons have drops comparable to Undercroft's Loot Tables!
      - I think a travel system similar to WoW's Zeppelin system where it can still offer "open world pvp" but also help players navigate the map better.

    Really like your PoI-suggestion to create incentive for smalller groups and maybe even solo players. They can be so much more interesting. Many good points and suggestions, well done!
    A suggestion from my side for PoI:s and towers thar maybe could be easy to implement. Add task vendors there that give better rewards than the ones in town. Maybe not all over but for some, perhaps tie it into the lore somehow.

    I don't agree with making pets rezable but I agree 100% that pets should not require you to be afk at all and would even be in favor of slapping them into an npc similar to the equery and have them level over time without you having to be logged in.
    Leveling pets is such a huge waste of time and is just not fun in any way
    1000% agree with taming being profession or secondary due to the fact that even a full pet build will not run taming will just tame on an alt or buy their pets.

    I got my friend playing this game, and he has a short fuse to say the least. Every time a glitch or bad mechanic comes up, he's dropping load ass f-bombs in my ear.
    I think this list would reduce my f-bomb intake significantly, but keep your greedy looting hands off my trinkets💍🙌

    good stuff just make spawn more random in chest so POIs dont get camped. make the book or item pop up in a lone urn out in the wild stuff is just to locked down by players

    Updating POIs to have the level II skill books is a fantastic idea. You could make them unauctionable - meaning you need to go to the POI to get them.

    Also.. add throwable potions.. that do area effect things like explode, heal, poison, buff, debuff, ect ect.. I love the creativeness currently involved in alchmey but they should add some base potions that you can improve upon and a book similar to a spell book that tells you the base ingredients of the base level potions.. improving those potions is the real fun..

    asym bows are balanced, its very cool that it takes a long time to use one effectively. end game +4 raw str 11% pierce rings make the asym bow a god tier MA tool. requires specific build and insane rings, very cool, more of this should exist. unlocking unique powerful builds with insane jewelry, very cool stuff to aim for.

    Lost cause unfortunately... unless Henrik hands over to proper studio and even then half the systems need to be rebuilt. From almost 30 years of prof experience, building more poop on top of poop is not scalable or will work.
    And not saying your ideas are poop, they are good in fact, but requires professionals.

    I like all of these. I would add for weight to be added as soon as you put it in your inventory. Do you ever get overweight and can’t move once you’ve moved away from your bank.

    Mages need a massive rework, talk about getting screwed…I mean you have already touched up on having to level it. Except this running with a group and dying, then being worthless because you no longer have the extremely excessive amount of regents without spending 20+ mins going to get more.. additionally no snare or slow spell and every spell of any significance has such a slow cast time and or delay of effect. Someone clearly hates casters…… it’s literally the worst I’ve ever seen. At a minimum there should be a reagent bag with x amount of slots that is no drop.

    I agree with most of the suggestions. I'm a bit undecided about the mounted skills becoming primaries, but recently henrik was more lenient to buff horse movements (because the map is so big you need always horses). so he migh be in favour of this.
    one big issue about a lot of what feels like outdated designer choices is the fact that henrik insists in copying Ultima Online features (taming and other skills are a ver clear examples) wihouth any merit to it. he needs to realize MO2 is its own game and try to take more bold choices

    Some of the suggestions are just no for me. But many others are good ideas that have been thrown at SV since MO1.
    Like the mounted skills suggestion, no. That should be a primary it makes people focus on an aspect of the game.
    In MO1 there were 2 or 3 different spellbooks. White Codex, lexicon of death and one other. None of them had any special abilities. I was the first person in MO1 to have a white codex. I always thought it should be a healing focused spellbook.
    The suggestions on moving taming, gathering and such to professions that would be great.

      Mounted skills being primary is kind of hit or miss, imo. On the one hand it's a vital skill for overland engagements, while it's tons of points to strengthen other parts of your build if you're making a dungeon character / footie. For a game with a "one-character" vision(soon to possibly be two), it's kind of lame.
      am a bit torn on it. I'd say either all the mounted fighting types, combat/mage/archery, should be rolled into a single primary, or make controlled riding a secondary. The logic behind them being seperate primaries or primaries at all is there, but it's just insulting to have no viable forms of distant travel besides horses and getting speed gimped because you're a footie build, but you still have to travel long distance.

    yeah some things are really good, the taming thing, the bow thing etc. but fast travel is a bad idea, 100`s of second accounts will open the fucking portals and the guilds jost fast traveling around like no shit. if yes, the 24h cooldown must be bound to the portal opener and the person who uses the portal. but all the ideas you said leads to a tamer / archer imbalance elite

    As someone who has played every sandbox/PVPMMO/survival game to release in the last 20 years(even obscure ones like wurm and wizardry online) I can say confidently that no matter what changes MO2 makes it will never have a large population unless they make large portions of the game competitive to solo players. It's make or break unfortunately. When you compare/contrast PVP video perspectives vs Mortals competitors(OSRS/Albion/Survival titles) you will find the highest viewed videos are almost always from a solo perspective. OSRS works because of the disengage mechanics/hard caped areas, Albion works because of the hard caped areas, MO2 just doesn't work for a solo player which means it alienates the largest share of the market and therefore cannot be largely populated under any circumstances. You should stop chasing numbers and just enjoy the game for what it is; a very niche, group only hardcore survival game. Because none of your suggested changes will impact player retention or player count in a meaningful way. SV's time would be better spent on new content for its devout followers then reworking bows, reworking, horse armors, reworking pets and these other trivial changes that will not accomplish what you seek. A 20 year old tibia remake launched with 20x Mortals concurrent. It speaks volumes to what the market desires in terms of PVP and MMO's.

      Also true. Dex Veela used to be a kinda answer to that but pets outrun and outstam them.
      Still if mounted you can keep out of danger run when you see someone so it's not like you can't play solo. It's just not very fun to do so.

    I doubt anything could fix their spaghetti code that makes the game easily cheesed or exploited.
    And I’m sure you know Henrik does what he wants.
    The player pop is in a nose dive because the game is objectively bad.
    Henrik pretends to be receptive. For a year in MO 1 he worked on Dynamic weather when the whole community said we do not want it. Like I said. He does what he wants.
    At the end of the day, you think these are easy fixes, when they have only 1 dev and the code is garbage.
    How does stuff like this get through? Easy little to no testing. 😊

    Extremely biased towards tamers and mages that are already strong as fuck. Don't you have a raid boss video where you 1v6 for 15 minutes? What if that Campodon parried and your spells cost no mana and you can carry more weight lol? 80% of the changes are just magic bullshit. Buff spellbooks? How about make them drop on death.

He compared the starter sword that every melle player have to maybe have 1 kind of bad starter spell for a mage or something. So mages also can do something when they are naked and priest camped. And the carry weight doesnt effect the armor. Its just as a mage the only thing you can carry are you regents basicly, you cant carry anything els with 10 in str.

    They need to remove the subscription and add a cosmetic cash shop. I advocated against a sub months before and the steam charts have only gotten less. MO1, I loved it, and I told people the only reason I stopped playing was because you would go on a pvp roam for hours and not run into anyone, why, because the game population was dying and did die. And for anyone who didn't play MO1, I hate to tell you this, but it was the exact same game right down to the butchering yields, yes MO2 is newer with more refinements and it's a great game and I personally love it, but I also loved MO1, but MO1 DID die, there is no ifs. The two games are very similar and both had subs.
    Cosmetic cash shop is everything this game needs. People talking about 15 dollars for a coffee are idiots, even Henrik himself who made this argument. Listen, and listen close. Many gamers don't care about your "It's only 15 dollars bro" sub = you get less players period, the justification blah blah don't matter, that's the bottom line period. Less players = dead game, how will you fill Sarducca or any of these other continents when you can't even fill one continent, it's crazy.
    No, you need a cosmetic cash shop, why? Because the whales who want to blow thousands of dollars on your game can do so, I played a mobile game where someone on my shard spent 20 grand and the game was terrrrrible, and the people too poor to pay a sub can still add to the games population. With a $ sub, the whales instead of being whales can only pay $15 a month, and the brokies who can't afford it don't play at all. Even worse, it's a massive barrier to entry for potential new players when they not only have to pay a retail tag to even play the game, they also know they need to pay a sub as well to continue playing it, and it's not like it's some cheap sub either, no it's full standard 15 like this was wow or something which is a BILLION Dollar franchise.
    Don't want P2W? Don't add it! Henrik was asked this question and he said he didn't want pink pony crazy cash shop cosmetics, guess what.. don't add that kind of cosmetics then!
    They release $ subs and give lion capes for free, it's crazy to me, things like this could be in the cash shop, so many ideas and I've barely thought about it, capes, housing decorations, house SKINS because they all look the same, housing layouts??? Additional cosmetic addons to certain armors and who knows what else you can think of. You could even add race changes though it would be more controversial.
    Oh, and ADVERTISE THE GAME, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF RAID SHADOW LEGENDS? Now ask your friends if they have ever heard of Mortal Online 2 and you'll have your answer. But wait, think of how many of those new potential myrlanders from those ads will be lining up to pay $40 to try the game and then $15 a month to have the privilege of continuing to play it versus no sub where the game is instead financed through options like unlocking some cool alvarin themed treehouse for any houses you build ect. ect. ect. and Free Willy shows up dropping over a hundred years of sub money so broke bob can at least play the game with his Generic 1 Spartan house we're all already forced to use and we can actually watch the population go up for once in the last decade. Oh and btw Haven sucks, doing all this work features this features that all help, but the main issue is the barrier to entry is so high in this game the people that pass it by due to pricetag and sub get further weeded out by Haven.. an absolutely thrilling experience leading straight to the refund option, and then you are left with the diehard fans like us who are the internets finest.

      Second, they don't have to add a 'fuckfest of random cosmetics'. In addition, I never said armor styles, I said additions to the armor styles only. As an example, take merc plate, and add cosmetic slots to the armor itself, say a fur belt going around the waist, or an ornament that attaches to the shoulder or breastplate, and yeah capes obviously which are already in the game.
      Also really? I suggested other things like housing skins and furniture which would be a huge W that you never even touched on, you basically just said death of armor styles therefore bad idea across the board because subscriptions are workinng so well right. I never claimed to add armor styles, only addons to the existing ones, and even then it was just one idea of several.
      The nice looking game that you enjoys population has taken a drastic L. Even if they advertise which they should but they aren't even doing that. The retail tag and subscription make an uncountable # of potentials not even try the game because it's a massive barrier to entry. Mortal 1 died to low pop, mortal 2 is the same game same concept and has less then 1k players online despite being released for years, and subscriptions have made that take a sharp turn downward, so you tell me how cosmetics destroy the game when subs are already doing it.
      I don't even know where to counter argue your point because you picked 1 specific thing which wasn't even how I suggested it and therefore broadstroked the whole idea as bad when there are so many things to factor. Nobody can tell me having the ability to have race themed houses and furniture eliminating the need for subs and all the consequences that come having a sub is a horrible idea. And no I'm not saying you apply a skin to a house and what if it gets sieged down, you keep the skin and the furniture to place in a new house if it gets sieged. Right now all we have is 10,000 clones of the same design, small house medium house, and they all look exactly the same it's asinine and would be a huge improvement cosmetic cash shop or not, but it would couple well with it.
      Yeah you can go too far with a cosmetic cash shop, but it's entirely in your purview to er on the side of caution and be subtle with the additions. As long as it ELIMINATES the sub because I'm telling you the sub in this game is like a cancer, it's cancerous for the veterans playing the game to prop the game on their shoulders with
