Yep! it was definitely Black & Puerto Rican together. We lived in the same neighborhoods and built the culture together. Bronx, Harlem, Westchester and Fairfield Country Connecticut was blended. I don't know about Brooklyn or Jersey but uptown/Bronx we were together.
