I wish I would have found your video earlier. The last time I worked on replacing the bearings on a similar Speed Queen machine, it was a pain and we needed 2 people just to remove the bearing housing.
Love your videos. Very educational and entertaining, keep it up. But not sure what your hangup with metric is. Metric is so much simpler and makes life much easier. (Just because the French use metric doesn't mean it's bad, although I suppose that could be counted as one strike against it :).
Bro. How u pull it out so easily? i released all the nuts but having trouble pulling the whole thing out..how the studs works i dont see how the holes help me push it out. 😢... im trying to find a tools that can maybe clamp the whole thing and put the whole thing out?
Shaft has a sleeve. You can heat or cut that sleeve off. I've change a few sleeves because of so rough it would take out seal. Sleeves are like 50 bucks or so. You can pull drum, buy a sleeve and have a mechanic put it on. I have a video where i show doing it. Hope that helps!
Hey Keenan Could you help me out? I want to do some bearings on my W125 Wascomats and would love to see the other half of the video. Everyone else dismantles the entire machine I think I want to try your way first.
Is a mobile washer/dryer repair man steady work or is there a dead season and a busy season (or a dead part of the month and a busy part of the month)?
Even the big Ryobi one will do it, can do a full brake job on my Ram 2500, all 32 lug nuts off and back on, on one of the large batteries. Have done some more challenging stuff with it too.
You How can i jump the prewash in a wascomat? I do not want to do prewash because to mush water. Or from inside the machine. What i have to do electricaly.
When i have the basket out i just push it on. Then i use a long bolt, cut section of 2" pipe and flat washer to tighten on hub where pully normally goes.As it tighten it will pull basket in rest of the way. Speed queen sells a tool for it. I've never needed it. Its basically a bolt, flat washer and cut sections of 2" pipe. Hope that helped.
@@FollowingKeenan yea thank i was assume in it but the mechanic the goes to the laundry i work tells me you can’t the you need special tools. He also told me the drums need to be place in a machine to check the balance and alignment every time you replace the bearing i think he just been greedy for me not to Learn, i would like to learn a’lot i want to purchase one, one day if God lets me .
Can you send me the part number of a plug or electricity connector for a Wascomat motor W125? I need to buy male and female. Or what is the name of the 9 pins
You can to start. Heat so lock nut is easier to remove. Once the bolt can turn. If the lock nut wasnt there i could take very easly. So the heat helps reduce the friction, to make it easier. You could do with out heat, would be more of a pain.
🤔Wow it been one year from your first video on you place how to run and fix washer/Dryer 👍🏻 Another very good video if any one can download this to your laptop or desktop save it under your own TH-cam channels you can go back look at it how it done Follow Keenan way ! Like and Subscribe 👍🏻
What not to do video. Do it the correct way and pull the cylinder out. Never use vice grips on thread bolts. Buy a complete rebuild kit and change the bearings and shaft all at once, and as usual seal kit. Most of the time that front bearing is first to go, so do a complete rebuild and be done with it.
Nice! I did change both bearings and seals. I just remove the trunion out the back. I only change the shaft sleeve if need be. Also i only pull drum out front if i need to do a sleeve. Kit over priced. I just hate to see people waste time and money.
I get the insurance on the power tool if break go back get a new one some time it a upgrade on that tool that they make yup broke a lot of power tool but got 2nd one free just bring it back .
Thank you for making this video. I have been waiting for something like this to learn from you on how the machine work.
When is part 2 coming? You are a great resource Keenan Thank you!
Another excellent video, with very helpful tips. Keep up the good work!!!

Thank you for making this video, bearing replacement is so much fun and challenging 😂
Could you please do another video of how you replaced the bearings on these
Keenan - Thank you for doing these videos- so helpful
Great video! Thank you Keenan.
Damn I just finished one... your advice was a great help. Thanks. I noticed if I heated the bolts before removing them they did not spin.
Excellent video
Great video. This will save $100s. But I’m about to get new equipment and now considering how I might increase the width of my bulkhead.
Did you make a second video for this?
Can’t find it. Thanks for your videos!
Where do I locate video 2 shows how to put back together the seals and bearings?
Hi bro. I have diffeculties putting it back in fully. how i pulley push it in?
I use a dead blow hammer. Once the bolt can reach threads I use it to tighten on. Hopefully the shift is not mushroom out.
I can't find part 2?

Nice!! Good info!!!
What do you do if shaft has a worn groove in shaft bearing has a lot of slop if so wasting your time until fixing shaft .
If your grooves outaide the sleeve area. Then if not too bad you have a machine shop fix it. Drums for washers new are like $2000 to $2500.
Curious if you will finish and post Part 2?

Anyone else giggle at Keenan's butchery of Menard's name? I hear May-nerd's it sets me off.

Hey how you doing sir? Question what pulley puller you use to pull the drum back in to housing?

In part two of this bearing video. I'll go ahead pull out the basket and show installing it. I need to replace the sleeve anyway.
Can’t find part 2. Good video.
Ok so how to put it back?
Can you send me the part number of a plug or electricity connector for a Wascomat motor W125? I need to buy male and female. Or what is the name of the 9 pins
link to the tool kit??
WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED OUT IN THE LAUNDROMAT BUSINESS DID YOU NEED A LOT CAPITOL
Terrific video, can't wait to have a bearing fail on me :)
What does a bearing repair like this typically cost ?
Hard mounts dealer repair with parts $500 to $600. If they replace you drum add $1600.
Crazy I was quoted 3500 per washer for a bearing job
I’ll do this bearing job in less than 2 hours
Is that an MD2 35lb?
You can also buy a nut breaker tool.
why not just use a long reach socket to brake the nut free no torch needed i have never had to heat my lock nuts to get them loose:)
You can to start. Heat so lock nut is easier to remove. Once the bolt can turn. If the lock nut wasnt there i could take very easly. So the heat helps reduce the friction, to make it easier.

Part 2?
Hi Keenan what is going on with the laundromat that caught on fire 🔥 can you make a video of what is happening thanks
This is the laundry mat caught on fire
I know that but I am wondering if he is doing anything
I'll do a follow up on how it looks and the plan. Its also the mat with the bar restaurant plan.
Thanks dude keep up your hard work
Oh and can you make a video about a horizon washer if you can I wonder what they are like and the pain if you have any from them thanks.

Part 2 is: I Need Fire For This Project |Follow Keenan!, thank me later.
OMG THANK YOU!! LOL
So what i can make of this video is if you can have at least 3 foot behind your machine's
Ooooooh, that's least favourite part of my job for me
The whole world uses metric, except the USA, so you’re bound to run into it on something.
Harbor Freight = disposable tooling

Metric - every vehicle made.
