So sad to see senior dogs dumped at shelters, but it happens way too often. Thank you for giving Pollyanna a much needed (and I bet appreciated) groom job. She looked fabulous by the time you finished! I hope she gets adopted quickly, and gets to spend the rest of her life feeling loved.
Your love and care for animals shows in all you do for this sweet lady! She looks almost identical to my rescue "Shaggy"! I would let you pamper my baby anytime! God bless you!
I was a bather for a little over a year at a pet store where my manager had a pet rescue. After academy, I mentioned that I’d love to help groom the rescue dogs and maybe take on a foster. I’ve always said I love to groom bichons (still do). Anyway 6 months later I foster failed my shichon Turbo❤ hims the best practice boy for scissoring legs. He has this wavy fuzzy cottony coat and I’m having a fun time shaping it
Oh she is so sweet and good. I almost don't want to hear her story because it seems like she has taken care of and loved in the past. I imagine that she had an owner who really doted on her, lots of cute grooming, toys, treats! Then that owner passed away and her not-so-great side of the family took her, didn't want to spend the time and little extra money and deiced to give her away. BUT her she is, getting all dolled up! Looking so amazing! She finds a loving home of humans that pick up where her first own left off
Sometimes we can judge, but we really shouldn’t. For a dog of 10 years to be surrendered had to be hard for whoever did it. Thats not an “oops I got a puppy by accident and it needs to go” type situation. She was dearly loved at some point. Her demeanor and chillax attitude tells me she had a good home.
Nena was my failed foster. I got a call from a rescue, they needed a foster for 2 chihuahuas, a white female and a long haired male. I said I’ll take them both!!! My husband , at the time was like what, wait?? Turned out the male had medical issues and needed to stay at the hospital. Nena came to us on my daughters 13th birthday. She had been in a hoarding situation? She came from an apt in Brooklyn NY and, I was told never had been outside! It took her hours to trust me and I was afraid to leave her alone with my kids…but eventually she gained trust in all of us, well at that point there was no WAY I was going to make her go through that process again. She past away a year and 1/2 ago at 19! She was and will always be my first favorite baby 💛 rest easy Nena, you brought so much love to us xo
I was Ruby's foster for two whole days!! Then laying in bed that night with her snuggled next to me. I asked myself the question if they had a home for her could I let her go?? My answer was no. This July 28th will be her 5 year anniversary with me. She has a serious wardrobe if outfits. And lots of ponytaill bows. She is a yorkshire terrier. But she us not spoiled!! Haha
I rescued my beagle Missy Mae in 2020 during Covid, she had a lot of health problems she had eye infections , heart worms, UTI and a large cut under her arm that had stitches in it. She is my joy ,she still ducks when you go to pick her up. She is spoiled I would do anything for her 😊
Corky was my family's foster failure. I was training for a half marathon for my 40th birthday. It was December and so, by the time I got off work each day, it was dark outside. Hubby didn't like me running alone in the dark, he wouldn't run with me, and our two dogs were quite elderly and not up for joining me. So I called a local rescue and asked if they had a dog that needed to exercise. Every day after work, Corky and I would go for a run and anyone who saw us crossed the street to avoid us. After our first week I asked the rescue coordinator, "is Corky a Pit Bull?" Yes, he was, and had been saved from euthanasia in a Canadian province that had a Pit Bull ban at the time by coming to my province. That Christmas we were asked to foster Corky over the holidays while the coordinator took vacation. The rest is history. My family all agreed he wasn't going anywhere else. We helped Corky cross The Rainbow Bridge at 14.5 years old 18 months ago due to severe arthritis. In his younger years he ran two half marathons and many 3--10k events with me. Now we are owned by Poppy, a Springer X Poodle. Poppy is another rescue but, unlike Corky, she needs lots of grooming which is why I started following your channel.
lol we failed with Ginny a lab/chow mix who is now almost 12. We also failed with Hannah & Cyril 2 bonded Rottweilers that were sweet as can be. They have both passed but we gave them their best forever. They were scheduled for euthanasia the next day. We thought we’d find homes for them but we just never found the right home. I guess we did lol because they stayed with us together until they end ❤️❤️❤️
Hi I’ve just found your videos. I know you said you hate when people take a dog to the pound, is that not better than neglect the dog or tie it to a tree on the side of the road? Perhaps the previous owner was in an abusive relationship and could not escape while she had a dog, like you say this pooch is well behaved so was obviously loved by the owner. We all have difficult times I. Our lives at some point. I think taking the dog somewhere is the responsible thing to do if you can no longer care for your pet I think anyway 🐕. Is Jay not named Jay now? Sorry I’m new to your channel, I like how people groom differently. I love Jays gentleness when bathing this little girl pooch. She looks adorable when you’re done. . I bet she feels so much better now 😁
