Hold on a minute, if your clothes count as part of you, couldn't you just take off a shoe and leave it in the ring granting you full access to go outside as part of you is still inside? It would be like stepping one foot outside while the other is still in.
I assume if whatever is counted as "you" is split up, the biggest half, or at least the half that can throw and play, counts.
