    The white is likely in there because they are pastel colors. You can't get a pastel color paint without adding white. Which is why pastel colors are more opaque then standard watercolors. But the white pigment should definitely be blended better than that

    Your painting deserves better paint! I am not sure how these are special … and in terms of granulating and colour separation, Daniel Smith Primatek is amazing 🤩. Thank you so much for sharing with us 👌😁

    The pastel colours are nice. It would be nice to have a yellow but they can be used with a regular pallet when painting.

    Thanks for excellent review, learning a lot from your videos. A Naples Yellow might work with these. For anyone who works in pastels this palette would be convenient. With yellow added. Thanks again, your painting is beautiful.

    These colors really speak to me, even if they are somewhat limited in hue. I’m glad you have this set as opposed to the granulating sets everyone else is reviewing. I am curious to know how these re-wet for you (Kim Crick found the paints in a couple of the other sets rather difficult to re-wet - and quite fugitive, too, for anyone thinking of buying them; know what you’re getting).

    I love the flowers you painted. 😊
    The colours are pretty, but I've just done a quick search to get an idea of price and I don't think I'd take the plunge - I think I'd add white gouache to colours I already have for the desired effect as I prefer to use more opaque colours on a creamy gouache consistency. 😊

    The color are very pretty and pastel, it looks like a Guache, right? Opaque.
    I have a question for you, I’m pretty much new in the watercolor, so, is it better to pour the paint from the tubes and wait till it dries to be able to use it?
    Thank you!

    • @chaoticgood8645
      @chaoticgood8645 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've been doing watercolor for a couple years now, and after a ton of TH-cam tutorials and my personal experience, with the right quality of watercolors, letting them dry vs using them wet shouldn't make much of a difference in the quality of paint you get on your brush :) Any professional paint should rewet easily (and shouldn't crack or separate when it dries in a pan. Although some pigments like ultramarine will just always dry hard in the palette and may fall out of the pan, regardless of paint quality for that pigment).
      But for your question, I would say, it's fun to use the paint fresh out of the tube sometimes (a lot of people prefer it actually, and will say that they can get more pigment faster than reweting, which isn't wrong, but it's not THAT much faster when you try it). I personally also love drying paint in a pan, because it allows me to travel with my pallete more, which is huge (I like painting outside, or just being able to close up my work station and come back to it later in a quick moment). I also love that I don't have to take time squeezing out the right amount of paint from each individual tube when I paint for a quick session, so having them all dried in the same pallete is a matter of convenience. Another bonus is that you use less paint over time when using them dried in a pan. Wet paint you may use a bit more each time (But honestly I wouldn't stress too much about this. If you have an 11 ml tube or larger, you won't run out very quickly at all if you're a hobby painter like me. With my 5 ml tubes, I do prefer to dry them in a pan because just how small the quantity already is. My solution is to only buy the small tubes in neutrals like raw Umber that are necessary but I don't use as much, because I'm more excited about something like Indanthrone Blue, which I bought in the 15 ml size and I often use wet AND dry. Point is, we take way longer than we think we do to go through a tube of watercolor paint. I have yet to finish one myself).
      TL;DR with quality paints in a 11-15 ml tube try both dry AND wet and see what your preference is, because neither is better than the other. For 5 ml tubes of paint, I would personally dry them in a pan to save a little paint, but also those tiny caps are annoying to unscrew that often (personally). If you have cheap paint (the kind that cracks in a pan when dried), use it wet and enjoy what you have :)

Personally it would drive me nuts if my paints were mixed up, but I’m just starting. Could that be why they have white that’s un mixed?
