You look like you walk with a mid foot strike rather than a heel strike. Is that intentional? As a guy, into biomechanics, I practice Iyengar Yoga and we work those feet and I wash them and spread toes before bed and apply oil in the winter with reflexology. You can see that experts feet/lower leg are providing that cool springing action.
Hey Kyle! Been in minimalist shoes the last 5 years. I've been living in Lisbon for a while, and I also walk around 10k steps a day. However my feet still get a beating hitting the pavement this much, and feet hurt at home when barefoot. What's your go-to for relieving this?
These shoes work with the Peloton bike+ (April 2022), th-cam.com/users/postUgkxGPkov2mNjgZfG33r6Bwvies8jKE4AKZB and are of good enough quality. I have completed 10 rides so far and there are no issues. The first time trying to fit them on the Peloton bike took 10 minutes (even with the help of an experienced cyclist friend who wears the same type of cleats). It took a couple of rides to break in. After the first two rides there were no issues at all.
I'm the stereotypical red-head. Anesthesia hardly works, my combat "pressure points" are cement, and my pain tolerance will probably kill me. Are my nerve paths/ connections malfunctioning? My dad blames my DNA...on my mom's side, of course.
Европа на самом деле рекордсмен по barefoot shoes, там лучшие бренды. Наоборот, скорее всего вы найдёте свой, у европейских брендов более широкая ступня среди всех barefoot shoes. Belenka Wildling и ещё куча других.
I don't know how anyone walks barefoot. I can't even walk around my house barefoot the pain is so bad! The balls of my feet, my heels, my toe on my right foot just kill me! I have the luxury to basically not wear shoes the majority of my life, and yet, I have to. I cannot deal with the pain. I do agree that most shoes are horrible though. I have to wear really ugly, silly shoes with a thick cushion bottom to give me some relief. Running shoes are the worst! They are so narrow and constrict my toes so badly. It appears neither barefoot nor shoes actually feels comfortable on me. 😔
@t.8936 That's rough buddy... Feels like nothing you do avoid the pain fully. But what feels odd is that "au naturel", at home, you still feel pain. I assume you've gone and seeked medical help? I wouldn't focus on shoes, barefoot or not. I'd focus on seeing why you feel pain when "existing" at home. That sounds like hell... Good luck!
Try changing your diet. Look up Dr Ken Berry.. Try eating more saturated fat. Do keto or ketovore. Carnivore.. A lot of pain is caused by diet. I mostly eat grass fed beef + lamb.. Diet is just as important as the shoes!
I been doing barefoot 5 fingers since 2008 before this craze. Prior to that has issues and since then my foot and Lower body got thicker and more balanced. Less lower back pain unless sitting for too long. Maybe I should have gotten into this hype and sold stuff like everyone you posted because my benefits far outweigh what he's saying. In order to get strong feet is to sprint when you get these shoes and then take off to rest. Build up naturally while unde high load.
Don’t buy origo shoes. I bought a pair and within 2 weeks the sole was chewed up and began separating from the leather. There are great barefoot shoe brands out there but origo isn’t one of them
I can't take this community seriously man. Barefoot shoes are DEFINITELY better for health and comfort BUT not for most high level sports performance and it's not eco-friendly to boot. no pun intended. Just market it for health. The "Lebron's wrecked feet" argument is pretty damn stupid imo. the dude is 6'8" 280lbs. who drives like a freight train. Other smaller NBA guys had no foot problems besides common basketball injuries. I agree that most sneaker designs look gimmicky but footwear tech didn't just stagnate since it's inception. WEAR WHATEVER is comfortable but to "avoid" modern sneakers because you are "hypothetically" gonna do what LEBRON JAMES does in a basketball court?? utter nonsense. I downright don't agree with some major points but for what points it showed on health, Great Video!!!
All soccer players I know have crooked toes and all sorts of foot problems. It’s not normal to constrain the toes: the end result can be like Chinese women’s feet before the revolution!
So much ado about nothing. Obviously that no shoes are better. Barefoot shoes are great for protection from cuts. If shoes were good climbers and dancers would use them. But they need strength on their feet, therefore, use something similar to barefoot. Point shoes are a torture. It needs another chapter.
Bf shoes suuuck. The good shoes have a wide tow box and tick enough soles ( which bf shoes don't, you just hurt yourself with extra thin soles)... Good brands are : lems , topo and camper
You do get a callous foot sole, which is what protects you from splinters etc. when walking or running barefoot. The sensibility decreases but never too much.

@@chromie6571 shortly after I posed this, I (at age 49) bused my left inner minscus and have been in recovery ever since.
I wasn't in barefoot - I was in a regular pair of shoes. I just jogged for too long ignoring the pain.
Link doesn't work to his video :(
Great video btw :)
which link? i just checked and seems like its working fine

How much do they pay their employees? How about benefits? Conditions? Healthcare? Relative to other shoe employees in Mexico?
You look like you walk with a mid foot strike rather than a heel strike. Is that intentional? As a guy, into biomechanics, I practice Iyengar Yoga and we work those feet and I wash them and spread toes before bed and apply oil in the winter with reflexology. You can see that experts feet/lower leg are providing that cool springing action.
Great vid!
thanks g!
Hey Kyle! Been in minimalist shoes the last 5 years. I've been living in Lisbon for a while, and I also walk around 10k steps a day. However my feet still get a beating hitting the pavement this much, and feet hurt at home when barefoot. What's your go-to for relieving this?
look for a brand that has more cushion, but still wide toe box!
Buy some sheets of self adhesive 3mm closed cell foam sheets, and make your own insoles starting with the heel.
bro seeing this dude do all that shit with his feet is makin my feet tingle like its unnatural
Hi! I see you work out in UC Davis! I go there too!
i don't workout at UC davis 😬
Oh. Sorry I go there and I saw go aggies in the background
Must be hard, having no soul 😢

Belenka
Wildling и ещё куча других.
To Origo as i belive they watch it- make shoes line wirh bigger sizes, not only up to us 13...
Theres no problem outsourcing to China. Focus chap. If something is quality and helps me, i dont care where it comes from
Some people do!
Can I ask, what if you have a bunion?
Toe spreaders and walk barefoot. And buy wide box shoes.
Thanks. So what are wide box shoes? Toes spacers hurt I find lol@@imho2278
this one got me
nice!

Yee dude nice one🎉😅
thanks bro
So one gonna say flip flops can is better for foot
flip flops are not good for your feet, unless they have the heal strap
@@sarahb.6475carnivore is for twats
I been doing barefoot 5 fingers since 2008 before this craze. Prior to that has issues and since then my foot and Lower body got thicker and more balanced. Less lower back pain unless sitting for too long. Maybe I should have gotten into this hype and sold stuff like everyone you posted because my benefits far outweigh what he's saying. In order to get strong feet is to sprint when you get these shoes and then take off to rest. Build up naturally while unde high load.
epic!
Thank YOU!
Thank you! 🎉
for me they just don't work and I believe to be another mega business shoes idea. spend more and wear less... just like the nouvelle cuisine
You can get the same effects from cheap sandals and like traditional leather moccasins for a lot less money
Thank you!
Just buy a pair of $50 dollar vans from Kohls. Not $160 for Vivo’s.
Don’t buy origo shoes. I bought a pair and within 2 weeks the sole was chewed up and began separating from the leather. There are great barefoot shoe brands out there but origo isn’t one of them
Oh no… I just bought some and they feel comfortable so far, now I’m just hoping they last at least 6 months
Still not much researches prove those facts
There is, but hard to find. But plenty of proof that tennis shoes are horrible for feet, posture and muscle loss
I downright don't agree with some major points but for what points it showed on health, Great Video!!!
lol thanks for the honest feedback :)
Good brands are : lems , topo and camper
but can you run a marathon barefooted
Yes, Abebe Bikila did and won, at the Olympics. But he’s just one of many!
How do these guys have ZERO callouses
Lol
You do get a callous foot sole, which is what protects you from splinters etc. when walking or running barefoot. The sensibility decreases but never too much.
Interesting!
Great if you don't ever hit man made surfaces
do you not see the clips of him running on concrete?
@@wellnessdaddyNo, you're misunderstanding. What he's saying is, "wear footbinding shoes no matter what; going barefoot is a great idea until it's a bad idea, and then you have regrets. Don't have regrets, bind your feet for life!"
@@Icemario87sounds like you're the one that's misunderstanding. At no point did I get the impression that they were suggesting "binding" the feet in any old shoe. It sounds like you've not tried barefoot shoes. Or just trolling?
@@donwyates He's literally suggesting to wear regular shoes on man-made surfaces. Are you confused?

Why is the aspect ratio of this video more like a cellphone than a 4:3 ratio TV?
what device are you watching on?
Id like to workout barefoot in the gym but what about athletes foot? 🫨 *shudder*
miconazole foot powder.
Athlete’s foot develops only on feet which stay in damp environment most of the time, by wearing shoes. If they are free most of the time (barefoot, in sandals, flip flops, open Birkenstocks…) the chances of getting it are very low.
