Thank you Ken for showing the fans and putting the fan together to the refrigerator. Very fascinating it all works and is put together. How’s the refrigerator working now? Say hi to Pam for me! And Meka! Have fun and have a great weekend and eeek. Safe travels.
Thanks. Yes we love the res fridge. But we are finding ways to like the new fridge. The fact that we can run it on battery, ac and propane gives us some flexibility while dry camping.
Great up grade I didnt know there was a company that made the whole upgrade kit You will have to let us know...the difference on the inside of the fridge. Safe travels yall 😊
Yes Beech Lane has lots of RV related items especially fans for fridges. The inside temp seems more consistent now. It’s a bit variable since it depends how full it is.
We love our Beach Lane refrigerator fan! Jim has been considering doing something like this in addition. It is a more complicated process for our rig. Thanks for demonstrating the installation of this product. Great, thorough explanation.-Jim & Michelle
Yes I think you have a roof mounted top vent but that probably allows more heat to escape. I wish I could have mounted the fin fan like you guys did but there is no access to 12v inside our fridge so we went with the portables.
The inside temperature while the real purpose of this is a bit more subjective because it depends on how much food it in there, where it’s placed etc etc. Absorption fridges need airflow to reduce hot spots. I will say this after installing the outside fan we don’t have to keep the fridge turned up as high to achieve the same temperature in it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks....at first I did not think we would like the 3 way fridge....but for dry camping boondocking it gives us more flexibilty to be on propane. But being in nice cool weather here in Colorado has helped.
I think I did point to the 12 volt connections. On the mounting, it was little tricky getting the fan in a position to get the nuts and bolts on while holding the camera. I did show where I mounted the angle brackets to connect to the fan. I guess I need 3 arms. Haha.

This is one of these simple upgrades that makes a big difference.
All I have to say is I'll be so happy to have our residential refrigerator back. Nice job with your video. Very informative.

@@TheRoadSMITHS Makes sense!
Nice install video! We have similar fans and they made a big difference! Stay safe! - Mike and Shelley
Thanks....seems like we don't have to keep it turned up so high to achieve the same internal temp now.
I guess we take our Residential fridge for granted!🔆
Oh, so true! 😅 Hope you two are having the time of your life! Stay safe out there! ☺️
Looks like some good tips. Some of these I wished we had known back when we had that style refrigerator
Thanks they have made a difference for sure on the refrig. Now if we could fit more stuff in it! Haha.
Would have been more helpful to show inside fridge temps with and without the upgrade. Looks like it was a challenging upgrade too.

Good upgrade
Thanks. A simple upgrade for a big difference. Does your new smaller rig have an absorption fridge?
Nice upgrades! We just upgraded to a 12v fridge so we are working on temperature regulation.

Okay..slight problem…
Said by EVERY RVer doing a project! 😂
Haha...have to be creative patient and innovative. Luckily I have just one of those!!
Why skip the electrical connections, and the actual mounting of the fans?
