John Waters I understand where your coming from. Certainly not in Sir Henry’s time, Gosden was still building his group wins but since Cecil’s passing, Gosden has been the man on these shores. He’s racked up an incredible number of wins in some really prestigious Group races over the past 7 or so years and still has more to come. He’s supported by some of the top owners in the game too so deserves more respect.
Frankel truly was a wonder horse, beating a field of seasnoned pros by a street without coming of the bridle. If a horse could laugh, the mighty Frankel must have chuckled a lot as he put horses that would be the best of a generation to the sword, with ease. I think mr Cecil is right, we wont see a machine like that ever again
My old blacksmith albert day was blacksmith to henry cecil father in law noel murless. Bosra sham used to have her shoes wired on. She had such bad feet.
Sir Henrys best horses needs 3hours not 3 minutes, i followed Sir H and Steve Cauthen since 1985. I could spend hours talking about the horses of Warren Place. Where was Diminuendo Indian Skimmer thats just 2 fantastic fillies missing. do a real tribute.
Even genius can't be used 😁 way above but in my honest opinion, when Julie was with him they were the perfect team. Once the split happened then it turned sour sadly. But Sir H was just a freak of a trainer in the kindest sense.
Slip Anchor (Derby), Indian Skimmer, Diminuendo (Oaks), Old Vic, Reprimand (smart but not quite in the top class of milers). Yes indeed Sir Henry was the don of trainers RIP CHAMP YOUR LEGACIES WILL CARRY ON
When Sir Henry Cecil left the Final Furlong. John Gosden filled the next one. Two of the very best. How lucky are we to Witness them......
Yes, it’s true! Cecil handed Gosden the baton. To master trainers of the sport.
Two humble, professional, top class trainers. 😊
Two legends of the game! 🙌

Never forget Sir Henry. The master trainer of the sport.

Great story, and she was a classy filly!
What a great trainer Noel Murless was too. Henry learned his trade under him. Legends.
Master
Frankel. Never forgotten.
Kris, Le Moss, Indian Skimmer

Sir henry had plenty of very good horses but only 1 great and he said it himself
I spoke to him many times when up at Warren place and spoke about the horses, yes Frankel was THE best ever but had lots of GREAT horses.

Old Vic should have been included.

Whar about showing his Derby and Oaks successes.
Don’t know what’s happened to quelly but I wouldn’t bet on him now if he was on a 1-20 shot absolutely terrible jockey
Can’t get on a decent horse these days and retained by no one. Hardly surprising
