Here’s a little (unofficial) extra for windows users: If you select everything but the main application, right click, select “properties”, and you should see a “Hidden” checkbox, click on it and everything will be hidden (unless you have “show hidden files” enabled, it will just make them less opaque). Now you can send it to friends and they will only see that executable, and won’t touch anything else! (Unless they have “show hidden files” on too :P) don’t ask how I know so much lol

I'm not sure why I'd take offense to this.. But windows electron is personally my favourite to use. I'm not sure how large your file is.. if it's around 30 MB I wouldn't say that's that large, but if it's around 1 GB that's very large and I'm not 100% sure why that'd be..

if you don't have internet... you can't keep downloading files because you need internet to get the data of the file so it can put it on you're computer

i know you posted this four months ago, but it heavily depends on the game you're making. What i would recommend is turning the save data into a piece of text that can be loaded from the beginning of the game
@@ll0103 to create the installer, install the latest version of this program github.com/TurboWarp/packager-extras/releases (this link is also accessible in the initial package creation for exes, near the bottom before the package button) and then drag the zip file that you packaged (has to be zipped) into the new program, and make sure the installer is enabled once it finishes the stuff is does you will be given an installer, which installs the game standalone alongside a shortcut on your desktop this is useful for uploading to gamejolt

This is a pretty nice way to do it because you can save data locally instead of in the cloud so you can read and write save data

I think you have to do that with cloud variables when you are making your game.

The thing I hate about this is that you can’t download cloud variables with turbo warp
thats bc cloud variable data is stored on the scratch website

Nope! That .dll file is in the folder you dragged the exe file from. It's best to keep the exe inside of the folder it was originally in most likely.
