That was my favorite add on TH-cam and it makes my cry I feel sorry for people who are like that I wish I could help them all and fix their disability so they can be normal and won't have to be like that
This was the only ad on TH-cam that I haven't skipped. This made literally my whole day 110% better than it was before. It made me so happy! Go Patrick!
"My whole life people were telling me that I have a leaning disability. I guess they are right, because I will never learn to giving up" That put a tear in my eye.
"My whole life, people have been telling me I have a learning disability. I guess they're right. Because I never learned how to give up..." This is an awesome quote, from an amazing guy! Patrick is so... inspiring. One ad I actually didn't skip. And made me tear up... This made my day.
this video brought me to tears. i am an able-bodied person, and not many able-bodied people care for disabled people. im glad such a huge corporation seems to care for the physically and mentally disabled. thank you.
This is inspiring. Everyday i complain about getting up for work, But then i see this and i put it in perspective. He has to work so hard to do something i hate. And he never gave up. I bet if i were to have the same condition as him, i would give up. But he works hard to prove that just because he was born "different" it doesnt mean he can do any less.
Patrick is the definition of perseverance and inspiration and we need people like him in our communities to prosper and thrive, but in the correct ways. I don't always agree with some of your practices, Walmart, but this has been an eye opener. Thanks for everything you do, Patrick!
Amazing! What an incredible commercial. Thank you Walmart and Little Tikes for keeping jobs in this country. And thank you Patrick for making us all proud. You are an inspiration!
This is the only video I did not skip this made me cry I hope people treat his better, and just because he has a disability does not mean he needs to be treated different this is the most heart touching video I have ever seen
badguy5 That was my sentiments exactly. Patrick's story is amazing and heart warming. However, it is a shame that Walmart plunged through their billions of employees to find one with disabilities to exploit to make their company seem more human. I will admit that Walmart is a leader in employing the elderly and people with disabilities, it is a shame though that they undercut and underpay those individuals so that Walmart can make that much more billions in revenue. I would be more then willing to support Walmart if I knew that my money would go towards giving people like Patrick a decent livable wage. Patrick states that he wants to be independent, but in the video it looks like he still lives with his family. If only Walmart would give their employee's livable wages maybe Patrick could be more independent.
how beautiful and inspirational is this commercial i wish more companies will make similar adds that serve a purpose and inspire people to thrive and work towards there dreams. Thank you Walmart
We are glad to hear from so many of you that are as inspired by this young man as we are. His courage and determination show us all why "Work is a Beautiful Thing".
Very inspiring... I have a son who suffers from Autism & I start to wonder if he will be able to work & be independent... Patrick reminds me that anything is possible... Let Patrick know that I thank him for sharing his story with the world because it inspires all of us that if you put your mind to anything then one can actually reach for the stars.. Thank you Patrick... God bless you...
That was truly a quote for the books! "They told me i had a learning disability, i guess i do because i never learned how to give up" Wow, just wow. God is going to bless you, keep fighting, he loves you!
Patrick: you have to be one of the most inspiring people ever. that is a pretty awesome quote "people say i have a learning disablity, and they'd be right, cuz i never learned how to give up." thats a quote i will remember for a long time
This man has faced numerous challenges just to be independent. I would stand side by side and congratulate him as my fellow American and as an individual, worker, and contributor to this great nation. He is doing what a lot of Americans can but are not willing to do despite all the hardships along the way. Thank you Walmart for this inspirational video.
A lot of people chose not to skip this ad because it reminds us that there is greatness inside all of us. Reach your full potential, so that when your judgment day comes, you'll pass on with no regrets.
Love this! It just shows that, no matter how hard it may seem, nothing can stop you from finding a way to make ends meet. Good for him! If Walmart is reading this, tell Patrick he's an inspiration to us all.
Little Tikes is proud to be committed to diversity in our workplace. And why shouldn't we be? Our commitment enables us to meet amazing and inspiring people, like Patrick. We are so very proud of you Patrick! Thank you for gracing us in being part of our Little Tikes family!
Thank you for sharing Patrick's story with us, +Little Tikes. We are very proud to partner with you to increase awareness of American manufacturing, and support American workers like Patrick.
This is a very inspirational video!! Patrick never gave up. Like he said he never wanted to be treated differently! He taught himself how to drive. When he said he lost feeling in his legs, he taught himself how to walk!! He even got a job with a learning disability, but he learned to never give up!
This is the first ad I've ever watched the entirety of. I will be sharing this with my friends and family. Thanks for sharing this tale of dedication and inspiration.
I see so many TH-cam ads and I literally hover my finger in anticipation of hitting the "skip ad" sign appearing BUT this ad resonated with me. I absolutely loved it. So moving and touching. Thank you ***** for sharing.
That was beautiful and inspirational. I know there was an article of a man who lost his hands and couldn't paint anymore. Though that didn't stop him, for he later used his own feet and toes to learn painting again. Paints just like he did if he had his hands. In conclusion, there are no excuses in life, because anyone can move forward.
This is incredible. His last line definitely gave me chills: "My whole life, people have been telling me that I have a learning disability. I guess they're right, 'cause I've never learned how to give up."
this guy is so inspiring and just amazing ,when i watched this i cried. He is so sweet and a beautiful person. thank you for putting this out in the world.
My brother was born 2 months early, slightly underdeveloped, and he was diagnosed with several life threatening diseases. The doctors said he would die b4 he grew up. He had seizures frequently, and was in the hospital for a good portion of his young child life. Due to his diseases, he got brain damage. He was considered mentally retarded by the doctors. He wasnt supposed to live. He is now 22 years old, with a job, just like Patrick. Though he thinks and acts slower, he is always a part of everything. He is accepted by all. You will never meet a nicer guy in your life. He was born in 1991, and was supposed to die within weeks. He is alive and well, here in 2014. Living proof that bads odds dont mean anything. Great job walmart. This one was great. I teared up a little. :')
I was browsing through videos when an ad popped up. Naturally, I was ready to skip the ad after the first 5 seconds until I realized a familiar face. This is my high school, and Patrick has contributed endlessly for his community. It's beautiful to see someone close to home gain recognition for their efforts especially being faced with adversity.
Damn........I'm at loss for words!!! My heart just nearly exploded at how beautiful this story is!!! This give me so much hope for my cousin who suffers from a learning disability. God bless this man and his loved ones
This should be a television commercial so It can become more widely received. Made me cry, legit. I think to myself, if this extraordinary man can work hard, be so strong and live a happy life, how dare I be lazy and not try as hard as I can every day. We all should be so proud of Patrick.
People like Patrick are the teachers in life. Patrick's life is an example of how we should live are lives. Life is a test, a challenge to be overcome that is why you have your downs. If he can work to overcome so much what is our excuse? Great video, great person Walmart!
My finger was centimeters from hitting the skip button.. but this ad seemed... actually real, and inspirational. I watched it and I am glad I didn't skip it. This truly inspired me. And I don't care who says otherwise... but right here... in this ad... I SEE A REAL MAN Push forward and ONLY FOWARD! 😌
This is very inspiring. I don't have a disability or anything but I'm terrified of going out into the world and getting a job. I have severe social anxiety. I want to take control of life again. This gives me some courage. If Patrick can do it, I can do it. Thanks for the inspiration man.
Such a strong, inspiring young man. You're a true fighter Patrick. I wish everyone had the determination, drive and will power that Patrick has because if everyone was like him, the whole world would truly be a different place. Go hard Patrick!!!
No matter the life one is born into, we all face the same struggle to better ourselves and to find a reason to get out of bed every morning. Patrick's strength in this endeavor has helped me become stronger.
Great story. But i find it ironic that Walmart is sending this message, based on how awful they pay their workers, paying an average of $8.81 an hour, which at an average of 34 hours a week is far below the poverty rate.
Why does everyone want to start at the top of the pay scale. Most have no skills, doesn't know what the meaning of customer service is and doesn't want to work the extra hours they offer when stock comes in? I started out 1971 at $2.12 per Hr. worked 2 jobs, best time of my life at 17 yrs old. Worked days at a clothing retail store, then a movie theater at night. Now I have my life just the way I molded it to be, 2 grown kids with degrees and I am out of debt with a retirement fund. Hard work is the only way to EARN what you need....PRIDE in yourself!
Beverly Barnes What, so you think it's okay to pay people barely enough money to scrape by? No, that's ridiculous. Pay people enough to live MINIMUM, and if they do well they can get more.
Jamesmyboy1 Your argument falls flat... completely. I too started working minimum wage jobs while going to school and while taking care of a family. By family I mean wife and son. I was about 21 when I had my kid. Did I cry and complain about how "poor" I was because of minimum wage? Hell no, I searched and found help. I was on government assistance, I was on financial aid, and I was working two part time minimum wage jobs. Now I earn way too much to even qualify for either so their you have it. I started off with a family on bare minimum and look at me now, I'm much better off then before. So yea, nice try but your argument fails.
Beverly Barnes I respect you. My father worked hard and went to one of the best medical colleges at the age of 30. He sacrificed so much from working two jobs, taking care of a family, and balancing school. Now he's a dentist making 4X what he has ever made. I myself am working on helping him open up many business franchises and trying to go to college become a cardiologist.
I shared this video; thank you for sharing his story of an amazing person. I love his determination and drive to grind harder and make it happen to win at all costs. We need more of this. Thank you for bringing positive real stories to the front of a world full of woes; reasons to quit, reasons to give up, reasons to take the easy path. This guy inspires you to become so much more
Thank you all for sharing your support with this amazing young man. His courage and determination are truly an inspiration.
