I cry looking back on this show. I remember when I was little and I saw my mother sitting on her chair watching amc and I wanted to be just like her. The day my mom died was the same day as amc's last show.
This was the soap that had the most hottest chicks of all other Soaps. Days of our lives coming in at a close second. As a man, I'll admit, this show is pretty good, and It didn't indulge in over the top Melodrama.
@jimmypi I liked Frank(ie). It was finally something other than Kendall/Ryan and Greenlee/Lep! Basically, the whole year of 2002 focused on nothing but those pairs. There was the Proteus storyline and later on, Frankie was involved with Simone and Mia in storylines. It was a change to have the focus on several minor cast members rather than one or two major characters. Of course, I can scarcely find any clips of Proteus or the old Frankie. There was the Mia/Liza/Adam/Jake stuff in 2002, too.
Exactly. Just a few years ago, when new characters came on board, they actually meant something. Now, its just like they are filler for the show because they feel like they can't just have a few characters.
My favourite all-time intro theme was this updated All My Children one. As iconic as Y&R was, it was a little irritating (maybe because it was seen as the defining one?).
This is so when AMC had characters that actually meant something. Like every character (with the exception of Frank in my opinion) brought something to the show. Now... you have Zach, Kendall, Erica, Jack, Greens (to a point), Angie, Jessie, Adam, and Tad... to me those are the only ones worth mentioning anymore... maybe Krystal just because Bobbie Eakes is a good actress.
50 years ago yesterday all my children debuted. By the way Dr. Maria was my favorite character from that show. Erica Kane is six months less than same age as Donald Trump is right now.
@jimmypi I agree... I enjoyed this whole cast, again, with the possible exception of that particular incarnation of Frankie. Trey did nothing for me either.

I’m sorry for your loss
OMG the OG OF THEM ALL!!
My heart skipped a whole beat!❤️😄
I love when the music swells...so grand!
This was by far, my favorite intro.
i couldn't agree more! I'm glad at the very least they kept this theme song. But you are so right. This opening was BY FAR the best ever!
RIP John Callahan aka Edmund Grey
Leo, Trey, Aidan - talk about hotness! Love those guys! I wish AMC was half as good now as it used to be.

They should've kept the saxophone solo for this.

Loving. Oh my dear goodness I forgot about that show.
Wow.
I like Mia's hair short like that. I think the actress had it long for most of her time on the show, like she does on Y&R.
That's a great idea it's just that I never saw some of them despite All my Children airing on ABC
That really is a catch tune
Odd that they have Kelly Ripa here but not Mark. Did Mark leave the show before Kelly? I thought they had left at the same time.
I never knew All my Children had so many openings.
Favourite version of the theme song, didn't like the updated one with the electric guitar.

This debuted 5 years ago today.
Loved Bianca an Kendall
You're Welcome I discovered it yesterday.
This is October 2002 not 2001 yo
On October 7 & 8, 2002.

:27 - Died like a boss.
I think it's weird that Frank is back to being called Frankie now
I want my afternoons back!
he was called Frankie in both AMC spinoffs...
Forgive me for asking this, but was William DeVry's character (I refuse to say the name) in the intro?
Michael Cambias!
I always loved Erica's "fuck me" poses. Classic.
LIZA!
These were the good ol' days...Leo, Brooke, Greenlee when she was spunky and fun, and REALLiza, not the impostor FAKELiza we have now. Bleh.
It seems as if Hayley's been gone for longer than just six years.
Where annie

If you're a fan of Days of our Lives type down Zeit Der Sehnsucht and you'll see what Days is like in Germany.
only thing I liked about this show was the theme lol
Michael
5 (6 if u count bianca) and 5 are still here lmao sad
LEO was hot!!!!!!!!!!
i honestly like Jamie Luner better as Liza even though kinda odd how Liza went from damn near 50 in 2004 to 38 in 2009 lmao
Poetic irony, huh?I'm terribly sorry to hear of your mother's passing.
Amc 1970 -2002 .ya i know it lasted longer but it sucked after 2002. All the soaps died in the early 2000s!!!!
Call me old-fashioned,but I still prefer its original opening.
Yeah....and we'll most likely lose the one and only Erica Kane as a price for it.
