I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. I base my interpretation on my knowledge of Angelina's journey from an 18 month old little girl singing a "classic" of music history 'I Will Always Love You' . She has been listening to these classics on repeat on YOUTube since then under the guidance and inspiration of her Grandmother Mery Zamani. She has been performing these classics since her first time in studio at 6 yrs old.. She has continued this journey through her 1st introduction to the world with her "Classic'" 'Gloomy Sunday’ and following with her many performances at her many Jazz Festivals, TV performances, Concerts, and charity events, studio recordings and practice sessions at home accompanied or not. The location in the Antique store represents these classics (like the furniture) of another era. To me she portrays wonder at all these classics surrounding her. as she has travelled this road. Top notch reaction, Don! I love the fact that you now have heard one of her more recent performances. This one is exactly 18 months old, she was 16,5 years old. She is the exact same age in her performance of I Have Nothing. That studio recording is very good, but I am one of those who thinks that her live outdoor performance of it on June 23rd last year was even better. The recording we get to see there was her second performance of the song back to back, due to heavy wind conditions during the first take. The producers pulled her closer to the main stage and she had to do it all again, all within 2 or 3 minutes. And she does THAT! Another thing to keep in mind is that the performance was her first time live on a stage since she competed in America's Got Talent when she was 13. The year was 2020 and the pandemic hit us, putting a very effective stop to anything and everything social, like live performances. Yet another thing is that she landed form LA that same morning, so we have to assume that jet lag had to be a factor as well (the performance happened here in Norway, on a vastly popular televised music program called Allsang På Grensen, which translates to Singalong At The Border.) Add all these factors up, and judge her performance through more well informed lenses😉 And like I said, I think she sounded BETTER live than in studio. That can tell you two things. Either 1) This guy is totally NUTS or 2) Angelina is just an INCREDIBLE singer and artist. I see no links in the comments so far, so I don't know if links are being removed. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! She really reimagined this song. I really could understand the lyrics for the first time. This is at 16. At 17 you still cannot predict her. She's gone from singing in different genres to mixing genre cocktails. Non of her family are musicians or singers.... Hard to believe but true. Her grandma was a child prodigy a painter and poet.
Sir this is a vintage store for different things, they did 3 videos here. I understand, it belongs to friends of AJ´s family. When you walk in a store with lots of glass, bare feet are not a good idea, a year or two before she hurt her feet in the dart parts when she sang at a concert. She widely decided to take no chances. From the very first words, the warmth, tone, passion and sweetness that Angelina manages to instill in this mythical song are truly incredible, you just wish the song was much longer. Her phrasing, backed by her wonderful use of breath and her peculiar jazz tone, always fascinates me and gives me chills every time, I love this absolutely amazing, so personal rewrite of this iconic song, with so many Elvis tribute details. As much as you liked this song, you would be even more impressed if you remembered the original. Angelina reinterprets the very upbeat Elvis version and makes it hers. With Elvis, you hear the music and the beat. With Angelina you understand what the lyrics really mean. And she still pays respect to Elvis throughout this video. It was one of Elvis’s biggest hits. It’s Angelina’s song now.
Exactly! I'm 69 and have heard Elvis's version MANY times, but I never really heard the words until this video by Angelina. In my opinion this song, along with "My Funny Valentine", "All I Ask" and "Easy On Me" are all her songs now. Oh and the demo she did at 10 years old, but then it was hers before the "original" was released. 😊

She really reimagined this song. I really could understand the lyrics for the first time. This is at 16. At 17 you still cannot predict her. She's gone from singing in different genres to mixing genre cocktails. Non of her family are musicians or singers.... Hard to believe but true. Her grandma was a child prodigy a painter and poet.

Sir this is a vintage store for different things, they did 3 videos here. I understand, it belongs to friends of AJ´s family. When you walk in a store with lots of glass, bare feet are not a good idea, a year or two before she hurt her feet in the dart parts when she sang at a concert. She widely decided to take no chances.

She's not barefoot 24/7 only when she performs. She walks to the stage of her concerts with shoes then takes them off before she starts to sing. As for the kids the youngest two are her Uncle Mike's kids so they are 1st cousins I think. The last one is Angelina's sister who she calls, 'the love of her life', Juliette.

Exactly! I'm 69 and have heard Elvis's version MANY times, but I never really heard the words until this video by Angelina. In my opinion this song, along with "My Funny Valentine", "All I Ask" and "Easy On Me" are all her songs now. Not an adult Don....16 year old in this one...simply arranged beautifully by Angelina....new song pretty much. She is brilliant!!! 🥰🥰 Two younger children are her cousins (Her Uncle Mike, Managers children, older girl is her sister Juliette). She recreated an entire new song with full respect to Elvis, the hair (Pricilla Presley) leather suit and guitar from Elvis's 68 comeback tour and Rob Christie on piano wearing red jump suit that Elvis's band members wore for the Comeback tour as well. Her dad is an Oil company executive (Swedish) and rarely seen, and not likely to be seen these days.
