didn't read through the comments, but thought i'd mention that i was taught that it's always a great idea to throw some oil in your new filter before installation so as not to be completely dry starting it. just enough so that you're not dumping it out when you turn it on its side. not sure if it really makes a difference, but hey, why not right?? I have a Bassani road rage on my dyna and the rear cylinder pipe is almost touching the stock oil dip stick. While that's not really an issue on its own , I wanted to buy an oil temp gauge/ dip stick just like you have on your dyna. I'm worried that , number 1 - it's a bit wider then the stock and may not fit at all ; number 2- the heat from the pipe being so close will damage/melt/destroy the electronics within ! I noticed that on your dyna you have a similar situation but if I"m not mistaken , you have TBR ?! on yours , and it might have slightly different clearances ?! Please , let me know what you think ! Thanks !
