OMG. Birmingham Pen Co is in my backyard and I never heard of them. I looked them up and them have so many colors of ink. I definitely need to get some
I love it when you get new ink samples; the swatches are so fun! That green/copper ink is so beautiful. I think I'd be tempted to use it as much as I could. Don't even get me going on your Estie collection because it is so lovely. If I could, I would have one of everything!
Lovely pen…fellow Estie pen collector here! I can totally relate to the fascination with Estie Pens…they are such great writers! Just bought the botanical garden with needlepoint nib 2nd hand from Poshmark. Enjoy your new acquisition!! ❣️✨🖋️
Congratulations on your new Estie, Karyna❤️🎉 We must have similar size hands, my Esties lay similarly in my hands. Your ink samples are so beautiful! Thank you for all your efforts with this video, I learn so much about inks and pens from you❤️
Thanks you saved me some $, i have the m200 and m800 and i found myself leaning on fatter barrel like Leonardo and the likes. I work at home since 2020 and will stop getting tiny pens.
I only have one Estie which is the Maui one and it's definitely my number one! I prefer stub nib so that's what I got and it's a dream to write with! The thickness of the barrel in all the rights places makes it such a comfortable writer! That's honestly why it's my favorite! I've got my fingers crossed that they come out with a baby pink Estie! ❤
I love the copper-green! Got myself an ink sample of that from Goulet Pens a while back, but haven't yet inked up any of my pens with it. Glad you reminded me! Love the Estie, it's gorgeous.
Alright, I may have to stop watching you and Lori @timewithtata as I bought two more Esties in December. But oh my gosh they have become my favorite fountain pens! I now have the Petrified Forest, Winter white and Quirky Leaf. Love them all! Keep it up.
That estie is GORGEOUS!!! I'm debating getting one since they are so expensive. Usually I get all hyped up for a product and then am disappointed when I get it. I don't think I'd be disappointed with an estie though, hence my struggle! 😅
I felt this exact same way about an Estie. I couldn't figure out what the hype was, why people had one in every colour... then once I held it in my hand, and realized how comfortable it was, I got the hype.
I can’t decide if I should get this pen or the Esterbrook Sugar Rush. They both seem to be difficult to find and I’m thinking one or the other will disappear soon
Good morning Karyna. Loved this video as I am currently way down the Esterbrook rabbit hole! I recently picked up the Lilac Estie second hand (love it!) and it came with an EF nib that I'd love to swap out for a Broad nib! Lmk if you'd like to swap! I'm happy to ship it to you! xo
Well, others have said it, but the DeAtramentis Copper inks clog like crqzy. I rhink they're only good for painting and such. You have some interesting inks here. I'm thinking that Sailor Shirakashi might look good in the Rainforest Estie as well.
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I have a Journaler and it's a pretty fine nib, on the smaller side of a medium cursive italic, but super smooth and juicy. I highly recommend it.
Thanks for sharing!!! FYI...Don't put the De Atramentis into your pen. Mountain of Ink review-"Overall, there is a ton of shimmer in these inks, but I had a lot of issues with clogging and burping"😮
@KarynaLovesToPlan - So I have a dilemma. I'm a fountain pen newbie. I love the look of Esterbrook however the price gives me pause because I can purchase gold nibs for the same price. 🫠 What are your thoughts on that?
@@PlanBudgetDisney gold nib doesn’t always mean better. It is about the overall shape and feel of the pen, as well as the nib. I sometimes prefer my steel nibs to some gold nibs. And the Estie is my favourite because it is comfortable in my hand, it writes well with a steel nib and is beautiful. I recommend going to a shop and actually holding pens in your hand - I didn’t always have the luxury to do that so if you can, I highly recommend it.
Beautiful pen… love seeing your collections of both pens and inks
Thanks so much!
I mostly paint with my green copper because, as glorious as the shimmer De Atramentis inks are, they clog my pens! 😢❤️
I was going to say.... This ink looks like a dip pen _only_ type of ink. Mostly shimmer! Impressive character though.
The copper green is my “Christmas Card” ink! I really appreciate when you share ink swatches. I love my Esties (3)!
Did you have any issues with the Copper Green?
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I use a broad nib. None so far. I think a glass dip pen would work too.

Haha, thanks Kim! I'm trying not to buy every Estie, especially since there are some custom pens that have resins that I can't get in an Estie!
I love Esties. I am so hooked!!!
Me too!!!
Nice colors! I would actually love to try the green/copper ink. 😃💚
Gail, I would be happy to send it to you! Message me on Instagram or email me ShopKarynaLovesToPlan(at)gmail.com!

Thank you for inspiring me with your Esties, Connie!
BPC Pennsylvania Fieldstone is my favorite color! I have had it inked up for so many months because I love it so much!

Exactly all of this about the Estie! I'm waiting for some kind of dusty pink or if they bring one of the blue's back - I can't remember the name now.

I'm sorry... not sorry?! :joy: I totally get it. Esties are some of my favourite pens because of how well they write! Thanks for watching!
Happy Anniversary! 🎉
Lovely pen and inks. Of course, the purples are my favorite 😊
Not surprised you like the purples!
how fun, can't wait to watch, thanks for sharing !!
Hope you enjoyed it!
You can also just buy an Estie nib unit in another nib width and screw it in. Easy peasy!
Thank you!

@@KarynaLovesToPlan I did it....I bought one 😅 I did some soul searching and decided to get myself a gift 🎁
That green pen is great, but i'm not sure I would prefer it to the tortoise shell which is a little more classy but still flamboyant.
Different tastes, for sure. The tortoise shell isn't really for me but that doesn't mean it's necessarily more classy.
I need an Estie…..STAT. I need, however, to save money for the SF Pen Show in August.
Are you going?? Me, too!!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan this is great news. We must have dinner.

Ooh that is a good suggestion, Marilyn! And yes I'll be careful with that ink.
I got the Journaler nib on my rainforest Estie! Have you tried it?
Not yet - I do love a good stub nib but I think the size of the Journaler might be too big for me.

Right?! 😂

Thanks for the tip! 😮
I'm so curious about the fountain pen community on Reddit but also scared to go down the 🐇 🕳 😅
The Copper Green reminds me of Buddy (Elf). 😂
I don't go into the FountainPen community chat often, but I'm checking FountainPenSwap daily. 😂
