By 18 I had quite the dowry. One of my treasures was the slicer you are using. Mine is identical to yours. I have used it all these years without fail. What a magnificent tool!

Awwww she reminds me of my Grandma so much. Lost her when I was a small child. She taught me to crochet and we just talked all the time, she was one of those Grandmas that didnt treat or talk to you like you were a baby and I loved that about her. She even let me help her in the kitchen when I was little. That was 49 yrs ago, My last memory seeing her alive is at 10 yrs old when we made crochet house slippers together 2 weeks later I was sitting on her steps at her house at the funeral. My mom is battling triple negative breast cancer, I flew home to help her through this nasty disease. We have our hot tea in the evening and watch your channel sometimes we laugh and sometimes we cry. You remind me of my granny, which is my moms mom..and the memories we share while watching your channel. My granny worked for anchor hocking glass factory and collected many glassware pieces. Thank you for your stories and recipes. It really brightens our dark days.❤

I had to travel home for Daddy and Mom, as well as VA Doctors appointments for me. Dec 31 My great friend (Worked for-with me) passed away and I stayed back to re-patriat his remains, that was a terrible time for me after 15 years of working together and talking every day. You sure make a superb meatloaf, just like my Momma taught me. We all love you! I'm still hanging in there for the story about that Cameo ring you wear so elegantly.
This isn’t very exciting.. The ring came from an estate sale. Jan bought a large box of costume jewelry, hoping for something nice. I went through the box and spotted the cameo ring, put it on, it fit! I said, I’m taking this ring. That was about 28 years ago. I’ve been wearing it ever since.

Thank you Granny Pat! ❤ I have an old slicer grater, very similar to yours. Mine is a more upright type. My mother got it as a wedding gift in 1949. I use it ALL the time and she did too! It is SO handy and easily cleans. I believe it was a Duncan Hines. 🙂

You can find new ones. However, the new ones are nothing like what was made in the older days. I wish I could find one of those classic utensils you're using for your onion chopping.

I make my meatloaf pretty close to yours (I live the glaze, but my husband prefers his not sweet, so I might add cheese to a second one or he can suffer through mine. I've been looking for some simple dinner ideas now that I've been working so much with my new job, thank you so much granny pat! my mother has her own meatloaf recipe that I follow but I'm going to try and make this your way and see if she likes it :) also your apron and mug are so cute! I love it!
I use to put all my ingredients vegetables in the hamburger until I watch Ina Garten make a meatloaf she sautéed her veggies in olive oil also I add 3 crushed garlic cloves. Then add beaten egg with a little heavy cream & bread crumbs. Your meatloaf looks so tasty & brown sugar with the ketchup is the icing on the meatloaf plus 🥓 😋
I love your stories and real way of cooking that we all do. My mama’s meatloaf ; onions, gr peppers, salt & pepper, garlic, sleeve of crushed ritz, eggs, grated cheddar cheese… she did tomato soup surrounding the meatloaf & cut up potatoes & called it meatloaf & red potatoes. I do the ketchup, small squirt of mustard & brown sugar as my topping. Is such a versatile dish. ❤

I make my meatloaf pretty close to yours (I live the glaze, but my husband prefers his not sweet, so I might add cheese to a second one or he can suffer through mine. I don’t add the tomatoes 🍅 in it, but I will have to try it!☺️ Adore 🥰 the green glass! Always wanted to go to the yard sale (from Pennsylvania)-I use to go to sales, but haven’t been to any in almost twenty years.

I've been looking for some simple dinner ideas now that I've been working so much with my new job, thank you so much granny pat! my mother has her own meatloaf recipe that I follow but I'm going to try and make this your way and see if she likes it :) also your apron and mug are so cute! I love it!
Hint: Add a few more crackers and reduce the brown sugar to a TBSP. Otherwise, it’s delicious.

I use to put all my ingredients vegetables in the hamburger until I watch Ina Garten make a meatloaf she sautéed her veggies in olive oil also I add 3 crushed garlic cloves. Then add beaten egg with a little heavy cream & bread crumbs. Your meatloaf looks so tasty & brown sugar with the ketchup is the icing on the meatloaf plus 🥓 😋
I love your stories and real way of cooking that we all do. My mama’s meatloaf ; onions, gr peppers, salt & pepper, garlic, sleeve of crushed ritz, eggs, grated cheddar cheese… she did tomato soup surrounding the meatloaf & cut up potatoes & called it meatloaf & red potatoes. I do the ketchup, small squirt of mustard & brown sugar as my topping. Is such a versatile dish. ❤
