Amazing video Ian. The car thing always happens to me, as I do not accept those abusive prices during events. In answering your questions, I would really like to see the C64 repairing process and IMHO, I agree that focusing on filming during the event and spending 6 hours editing the video is quite crazy for a low-impact one. Anyway, cannot wait for the GameCubes thing! And UNIXtober is here... Whohooo
Usually I don't have a problem with where I park. I used to have someone with me that could wait while I went to get the car... and I don't know that I ever got a 35 pound box of stuff before.
Never considered hooking my GameCube up to my PVM. Want to see that video. Always can watch more C64 repairs but at the same time there are alot of them. I am passing on the early bird pass at my local convention this year. The hour is not worth the cost of at least a couple games.
Spoiler alert... GameCube with and RGB cable looks amazing on a PVM. :) If everything works out, and that is a big if, I would like to do a live stream of game play as part of the GameCube video.
Sorry about last years vid not doing well I like in depth expo videos. I did the power pass as well but was more of a supporting PRGE then caring if I went to panels or anything. Although I did go to the AVGN panel and yeah that did help me get in the front row and got some good live footage. I wanted to support the show since I do get in free for donating my pinball machines to the RetroCade so when they had the new tier I was like yay and pounced on it.
Wanting to support the expo was part of what pushed me over the edge to try it out this year. As for the expo video... I've done several expo videos for PRGE and VCF, and they've all bombed. I may try to find more of a middle ground next time.
I would watch a Commodore repair video. Seems like you got a good variety of stuff with that pick-up, congrats!
Are there any of those systems (C64, Vic20, or C16) that you'd be more interested in seeing than the others?
