See two large cargo ships passing as they near head on while on the Kill Van Kull River in the Port of New York and New Jersey. The Maersk Surabaya and the Wan Hai 513 meet head on and negotiate a head on pass in the tight waterway as they enter and exit the Hudson River on a very heavy ship traffic day.
Video includes; container ships, cargo ships, tankers, tugs, pilot boats, and the rail mounted gantry cranes (RMG cranes) at the Global Container Terminal (GCT Bayonne). Even captures sunrise and sunset in and around Bayonne and Bayonne Bridge area.
The Port of New York and New Jersey is the busiest port in the USA.

That's mostly the Kill Van Kull and leads to the Hudson. The Kill Van Kull goes in between Staten Island and Bayonne NJ.

We have been counting on these ships for our daily goods. 📷🚲

You could definitely see the long queue during the supply chain issues. There were times where more than 25 ships would be off the coast waiting to come in.

Those gantry cranes at GCT are cool. Does not look like there is a lot of clearance when the CCNI Andes goes under the Bayonne Bridge. Is that really that tight or is that because of the angle?

Sorry that I missed your question. There is a lot more clearance than it appears so its really due to the angle. But in the Biglift Baffin video there was very little clearance. In fact they had spotters on the top but there was less than a foot of clearance that they had scouted out and planned the passage to come through at low tide and as low in the water as possible.

See if EV replies but some of these are 3 or 4 football fields long.

@@travelthroughnj7980 Yes, most are in the mid-300M range. That's about a 1/4 mile in length.
