I was 16 when I first drove a 3588 back in 80 when it was. New my fav tractor

My grandparents bought their 3588 brand new in 1981 and later added a 3788 to the fleet. In our area the 3588's are now used for haying tractors, because they are so cheap on fuel.

"Do you wanna drive?", that's a silly question there Dad. 🤣🤣🤣 Yep, I too was disappointed back when IH was bought out by that big company. ☹ Thanks for the ride along. Take care.

Rhett did a good job. I've never operated a 2+2. I don't know why they scrapped the 2+2. Case IH ultimately went back the Steiger design like the 4366. In the 1980s, the 2+2 6388, 6588, and 6788 outsold the Steiger design 7388, 7588, and 7788 big time. Those tractors are extremely rare. A lot have never heard of the 7388, 7588, and 7788 which replaced the 4386, 4586, and 4786 respectively.

Front axle on that 35 is a Japanese axle

The front axle is from the Hough division. Same one that was on the front end loader or skidders .
