This is why Big Idea Design is such an excellent company! Willing to listen to their customers and make great, more affordable options for people to carry. Easily my favorite EDC company. Keep up the great work!
I really like my big I dual side click pen and was stoked to check out this new pen they’re launching, but it seems to be a smaller, more expensive version of the bastion bolt action pen
We’ve only seen one of the bastion pens in person. It’s definitely different than that. Think more our mini pens made into full size! The grip is a touch skinnier than your dual side click by roughly 1mm. We actually ran some models at the same thickness as the grip of yours and it was way tooooo chunky.
Does this have the auto adjusting collet you guys have in the regular bolt action? I don't see it mentioned on Kickstarter or the video so I'm assuming no?
That is correct, this one does not have the collet. It is setup for parker style refills. You can trim down some longer refills to make them fit if your like also!
@@bigidesign I will for sure, Ben from Knafs just made such a great point for backing these kickstarters. I am a big fan of all the cool stuff you all make!
We are shooting to get this pen in at an attainable price point and one way we were able to do that is going with grade 2 pure titanium instead of our go to grade 5. Great question!
I don’t like that you skimmed on material instead of doing your best to make it grade 5 titanium that would have been a worthy challenge instead you simply cut material cost m 😢😢😢
Totally understand your perspective on that. Grade 2 is still commercial grade pure titanium. If anything, using grade 5 for everything could be considered a bit overbuilt. The biggest difference was we were able to take away some internal parts that require a lot of machine time. Thanks for checking it out!

Thank you sir!
@@bigidesign oh you’re welcome
I signed up. Looking forward!
Thank you!!
All nice! I have the Mini and I like it a lot. But who's the person holding the third pen? 1:28 😅
I have no idea what you’re talking about…
I can & will support this. Well done making something more affordable…love your gear but the struggle is real at times.
Thanks so much! We had this idea on the table for the last few years and felt it was time to make it happen!
Where can I buy this great stuff in Germany?
This pen is available on kickstarter right now with international shipping. Our other items are available internationally at Bigidesign.co
That would look really good in blue titanium though so then it can match my iPhone
Not a bad idea!
Day 4 of asking for the OD green cerakote to come back
Later to the party than normal. Haha!

@@bigidesign thank you for confirming! In that case, i may end up purchasing a slim bolt action in copper this time! :o
I want that!

Why not grade 5 Ti???

@@bigidesignhow much would G5 cost with your current optimizations ? In the past you managed the same price point but used G5 Ti..
