Thank you. I am binge watching your tutorials. You do them beautifully and simple. I can confidently say that you make simple what is really not that simple. Thank you again. Sending love from Italy. Rita ❤
Thank you very much, dear Claire, for your great tutorial of colouring wood!So often in the books you have wooden furniture, panels and walls, too.Very nice, dear Claire!I will try it.👍🏻✍🏻👏🏻
Thank you for this video on how to apply and use the Gamsol blending solution! I bought a bottle a long time ago but didn't know exactly how to use it. Hooray for finding you on You Tube, I'm your fan forever!!! You're the BEST!!
I’ve watched your tutorials for ages and love your techniques, then got sidetracked with other projects. So happy to see this, hooked again! Thanks Claire 🥰
I have the Prismacolor colorless blender pencil, the Caran D'ache full color blender pencil, the Prisma alcohol blending marker, paper stumps made from a diy video and the Daler and Rowney odorless thinner. I haven't really liked any blending method. It's always made the color look muddy to me and I figured I probably wasn't using anything the right way. I have since figured out that the Caran D'ache is better for certain looks and the Prisma has its uses as well but felt I invested poorly in the thinner until I saw this. You are the only one that made it click for me. and I had to try it on some wood grain the Game of Thrones coloring book. Thank you for helping to understand how to use what I already had. I just had to let you know you helped. Best Wishes Claire.
This is lovely! Thank you for sharing how you do this. I love watching you color. Would love to see you do more color along type videos like this. I learn so much from watching you and I love hearing you speak and explain it.
Absolutely stunning. I have never used blending solutions, but now I have to try it. I love the finish you achieved. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Thank you Claire! Great tutorial as usual. I have had gamsol for quite some time but couldn't get it to work. Watching you showed me what I was doing wrong. Thanks for all you do!!
Hi Claire - I have had this book for some time now and haven't done one thing in it and then I catch this video. I love, love how my floor turned out and my dress isn't nearly as beautifully vibrant as yours - but I am going to add some darker shadows. I've never really been a fan of Gamsol - but for large areas - it's the bomb!! Thank you so much for sharing the "how to" - I enjoyed it greatly. Kathy
Lmfao 😂 😂 😂. I have to say, one of the best and funnest video I've seen you do! Lol. 😄 😄. But it's adorable! And the end, with the pencil, I do that all the time! Lol. 😄 😄. I'm going to have to break down, get some of the blending stuff. Does make look so smoother, and can color faster! I was watching the livestream of Sammie yesterday morning. She was talking about the light fast pencils of Derwent. She told me you already announced the winner in your drawing. I've been out of town. Didn't get home until Saturday. I've been looking back on your past videos. Which one is it? I can't believe I missed it! 😣😤😤. And this picture is awesome! As always! I love the purple dress, beings it's my favorite color. Lol. I can't wait to see this one finished. Thanks for sharing! 😉 ❤. Please let me know what video you showed the winner in? Thanks hun! 😉 ❤.
PS! I just got a email from ColorIt. I know you do a lot of videos on different products. Have you ever used there, gel pens, and there water brush pens? In my email, given me a chance to order the sets of there 48 refill pens, and a set of the watercolor brush pens, also refillable. For 29,99 a set! I know it's a good price, but I've never used there brand. Wondering if you have? Are they worth getting? OK, talk soon. 😊 ❤
Colour with Claire ,oooo, ok! Lol. I figured I didn't win. I just like when I watch the videos of the ones that win. I get just as excited as they do!lol. I've got 5 coloring books coming now that I've won, was overwhelmed. I never win anything, so I was shocked when I won the books from 2 other youtubers I'm subscribed to, lol. If I'd had won those pencils, I would have probably had a heart attack!lol. I've heard there almost gone now, getting hard to get. Thanks for getting back with me. 😉😉😊
Wonderful, Thank you Claire, i'm so Glad i've found this tutorial because i never worked with the Blending solutions yet and i've purchase the Spectrum Noir and i really found so much easier to Blend with this solutions, i really enjoy to watch, for myself i would make a Blank sheet between these twom pages lol!
Thank you, such a helpful tutorial, I have been thinking about trying odorless mineral spirits, I feel like I have some idea where to start with them now. That wooden floor is so realistic looking beautiful😍
I'm really happy to learn from you, you really take time to explain and show how-to. But I've noticed something curious in the comments - in the description it says that the video was published a little more over a month ago, yet some comments were written a year ago? Guess even time travelers love your tutorials :) ...
Hi Claire I have a question. How do you know which Colors match like you did in this video. I’m still struggling with finding the right light or darker colour. For instance I used hotpink as midtone (for glazing on a donut) and used process red as a shade. In the end I used the white to lighten it up a bit because it wasn’t the ‘right midtone’. And the shading didn’t really pop. So I was a bit disappointed ☹️
Thank you Claire, I ordered the digital copy of this book so I can follow along with you. However I do not know what kind of paper I should print it on. Any suggestions??
Can I use this blending solutions with polychromos too? Because there is a less more wax in it than the prisma's. :-D Blending sticks don't work very good either. Thank you for the great tips!
I Claire, New Subbie, and I am also new to coloring and I had a question, 1: Your picture looked Beautiful, I have a Prisma blending pencil can I achieve a smooth Finish with my blender pencil or should I stop being a scaredy cat and get some Gamsol?
Colour with Claire Claire you did nothing wrong in the least! How dare someone nitpick your choice, it’s a color book, you can do want you want! Some people just have to show they know more! I think yours looks brilliant!! Thank you so much! ❤️🥰
@@ColourwithClaire Good to know. Blending solution gives me massive headaches so I'll be able to do this regardless..it will just take me two hours instead of 45 minutes haha.

Great job on making your lovely tutorials look easy enough for a novice. Thank you for your straightforward instruction & easy manner. ❤
I didn’t realize you could use gambol in a coloring book page, very lovely blending effects and fast too!
Thank you so very much for this tutorial! I've been trying to learn how to color wood without any luck lol. This video was extremely helpful! ❤️

Thanks so much Kathy! I’m glad you enjoyed it xx
Perfect timing. I'm going to try all your tips here. Beautiful work. I use a piece of cardboard under the pic for edges, cut up cereal box works well.
Thankyou Claire. I shall use that❤️

Haha I think I had it on unlisted at the time for a project, then I made it public, that's probably why x
Thank you. I always wondered how people got the smoothness and blend. I have had gamsol for a long time and haven’t used it.
Wondering if you have an education in art. Some of these things I would never have thought of. Thanks for the tutorials.
Not at all, self taught through watching others & trial and error!
@@ColourwithClairewell then maybe there's hope for me afterall😂. Love all your videos so far❤

I have heard about“Gamsol“as a blending solution. Is it the solution you use in your tutorial?
HI Claire. Hope you are well. Please help. What should I use for a swatching book for my pencils and water activated supplies.❤️❤️
I use a Derwent sketchbook x
Can I use the solution in Hanna Karlzon books? Wondered if the solution can only be used on certain paper quality? 🙏
Any book x
Thank you Claire, I ordered the digital copy of this book so I can follow along with you. However I do not know what kind of paper I should print it on. Any suggestions??
I use spectrum Noir pencil paper
@@ColourwithClaire thank yoy!!!!
You are so good at colouring I'm scared of pencil colouring but will try some of these techniques. May I ask where you get your coloring books.
Amazon usually x
@@ColourwithClaire thank you 😊
Does that blending solution work for all pages, even blending skin ?
Yes
Can I use this blending solutions with polychromos too? Because there is a less more wax in it than the prisma's. :-D Blending sticks don't work very good either. Thank you for the great tips!
Yes, absolutely
how do you seal it? what is the technique or process for sealing the work!?
I don’t seal it
I Claire, New Subbie, and I am also new to coloring and I had a question, 1: Your picture looked Beautiful, I have a Prisma blending pencil can I achieve a smooth Finish with my blender pencil or should I stop being a scaredy cat and get some Gamsol?
Get some gamsol anyway, but yes blender pencils could work
@@ColourwithClaire ok.... I will grab some, Thank you for responding
Wouldn’t the longest shadow be directly behind her ? The part where she is in front of the fire, blocking the light would make dark shadows no ?
Yes, I did that bit wrong
Colour with Claire Claire you did nothing wrong in the least! How dare someone nitpick your choice, it’s a color book, you can do want you want! Some people just have to show they know more! I think yours looks brilliant!! Thank you so much! ❤️🥰
PS..besides she isn’t sitting in front of the fire, she is sitting off to the side, and that makes your shadow perfect! 🥰
@@kenivrataric9783maybe she was just trying to learn and clarify her own thoughts
Couldn't you just burnish that tooth out as well? Especially with Prismacolors??
Yep, I was just showing how to use blending solution
