True but Kojima has done this with almost all last boss fights. I know he didn’t work on this game directly. Metal gear solid 1, 2 and 4. 1 and 4 having unique melee animations just for those boss fights and raiden in metal gear solid 2 getting to use a sword for the end of the game.

That creates various inconsistencies within the game’s plotline just as not having a weapon would. But at the end of the day it wouldn’t mean anything, especially if it was a New Game+ feature

It's always cool to see the antagonists using the protagonists moves against them and it would fit Sundowners theme of being a cruel and ruthless killer that's only really equalled by Raiden.

now do it, no damaging him in 1st fase, no killing minions at all, no blade mode, Basic m1 combo only (no air kick and stuff, just plain m1) no block, no parry, fists only, no ripper mode, revengeance mode, no dashing, no exposing his shields when he does the dash move (because that triggers blade mode) no dashing, no upgrades, no hitting him when he is holding the giant pole, no healing in any form and no accesories at all.
@@theforestwelcomesyou you can actually destroy his shields without blade mode and using normal hits, I have seen people do it, it's just that it's annoying as hell to pull off, and then you can damage him in 2nd fase to beat him normally
I always wished the fists were an unlockable weapon. Fighting Jetstream Sam hand to hand after you knock his weapon away would have been more honorable and fun.
U know u messed up a boss fight when a guy with only fists, no (in-game) skill, and no upgrades, beats the boss without losing health.

Only issue is you cant do zandatsu, so if a qte requires it, you're screwed
It should be designed so that if you attack him before stage 2 his shields shoot out and block your attacks, making him truly invincible.
