I just want to point out that Dan took the time to match the wheels color theme with his wall sconce hue lights in the background of his shot. That was a really nice touch.
Is not how this wheel is so cheap, is how other brands charge indecent amounts of money for other wheels, and basically anything that has the word simracing behind. Can't wait to see a motion device from simagic or moza.

At 289 its truely unbeatable and if you get the right commector you can use it with fanatec even on consoles 😉. Im serious though at this price nothing can match it.
All their wheels have USB-C for firmware updates FYI, not all updates can go through a simagic base and sometimes you have to plug it into the pc directly.
No shit sherlok? If i really use a very long usb-c cable whit data transfer capability i dont have to buy a magic link cable separately? And since Simagics QR is more or less industry standard i could use the wheel whitout any big problem on a Moza R5 (in far future a R9 or R12 base) ?
I love what simagic and moza is doing for the sim racing community. Only goes to show how those so called big companies has been ripping off and still is in some case ripping ppl off
Not in all cases. This will feel like a toy compared to the likes of grid, gsi, ascher, etc. I mean, it's all plastic... You get what you pay for. While it's good to offer quality products and lower prices, the ultra-premium will always come with a larger price tag and a lot of people are willing to pay for it
highend will always be expensive - do you need it to have fun? no. but it's there for people that want the best. it's not ripping off and definitely offers a benefit over cheaper options. but it's always good when the user gets options for any budget so we can all enjoy the hobby.
Those very expensive wheels are made by very small companies, who are basically boutique shops. The manhours per unit are far higher there, which isn’t neccesarily better (in terms of quality), but will make products very expensive. Larger companies, or at least those who can harness mass production optimized production methods, can make these units far less expensive, but they require far more up front investment to access those. Moza and Simagic’s adoption of mass-production methods (injection molded backbones instead of CNC’d billet aluminum backbones) does allow them to make these wheels cheaper than an Ascher or Cube Controls, provided they make 100x or 1000x as much.
By far the best review of this wheel I've seen, much more detail and useful information. I've seen around 4 other reviews and realised how much they weren't saying when watching this vid! Also, in terms of adjustability for the shifters. You can turn the top ones (the gear shifter paddles) upside down on other simagic wheels so they are lower, not sure if that would work on this one tbh as there doesn't seem to be much space between these and the clutch paddles
Coming from someone who was looking at getting a KS wheel for my R5, I might reconsider. This just *looks* better in nearly every aspect, and I really want to try and get this by May, lol
