Man I wish I could get another one of these. My RS was rear ended yesterday and pushed into the car in front of me and bent my jdm hood I bought 6 years ago :(
I painted over the part number sticker but luckily I can read it clearly enough in my hood pin video. The part number is 57220FA130. As far as I know, the only GC body aluminum hood available has the cutouts for the vents and scoop. Flatirons Tuning was the cheapest I found. Here is the link to the hood on their website: www.flatironstuning.com/p-1831-1998-2001-gc8-aluminum-hood-for-98-01-impreza-25rs.aspx
Racer Dave , I was ready to check out, but it's pick up only. Thanks. Though I got 2 part numbers. "130", what you have aluminum and "120" I guess would be the steel version. Thanks again.
Interesting. You might try calling them. I did pick it up but that's just because they're local here. I never asked them if they'd ship it or not. I'm glad the part number worked out. Enjoy!!

Bummer! The hood is definitely an awesome mod.
I got mine from Flatirons Tuning. Maybe try giving them a call to see if they can still get them.
This guy is tripping on shrooms permasmile
Hahaha... Racing cars and installing upgrades! What's not to smile about?!?!?
Do you have a part number for the hood? I called the dealer but none of them could tell me which has the scoop.

how much weight does that take off?
The hood by itself takes off a little over 20 lbs. With the chunks I removed it was nearly 22 lbs total!
And that doesn't count all the weight I saved by removing the hood latch and release cable!
