Awe, I feel bad now. That orange mug that is $45.98 is mine. I 'm a single mom with 2 kids with autism. Since they don't have school anymore this year, i'm trying to build them a sensory gym in my apartment. But I'm selling most of my mug collection (in my bigger store tho)....cause the gym is more important than my love of mugs.

That is super sweet of you to tell the buyer to keep the car and expect the right one in a few days. One eBay seller did that for me when the color of the item was different from the photo. I would have sent it back, but they didn't want it back, then they refunded me and sent me a bunch of free items! I have had sellers send the wrong item and then just cancelled my order. I think that's weird. Good Job for being an above the rest seller, A+++!!!

Being a new seller, I've run into a couple of things that I needed to contact ebay for. I simply used the email feature and they got back to me within a few hours and were able to solve my issue. They also offered to call me, so that is also an option once you email them, depending on what the problem is. So far, I'm actually impressed with how great "seller" service is at Ebay, especially since they have limited staff at the moment. No complaints on my end! Thanks for your video, I'm learning a ton from you!

I agree with you on the responsibility all the way to delivery. Once sold a big game fishing reel on ebay to a buyer in canada. (Way before ebay started its international shipping program) Filled out all the customs forms etc...
When it crossed the border though, things got tricky. Customs held it. Customer contacted me to let me know what happened. They wanted to charge the guy over $1000 to release it! I immediately got ahold of UPS to see what the heck happened.
After a week of going back and forth, we finally got the shipment released. My buyer didnt have to pay the fine, but UPS did eat that fine as they were at fault for messing up the shipment documents.
Keep those customs forms receipts if you ever ship directly out of the country! That was the only thing that saved my buyer, and my butt, as i was able to prove i filled everything correctly.

Last Thursday I checked on an item I had bought and tracking said it had been delivered that morning to a PO box in OK, but I have a street address in IN. I contacted the seller about it and she contacted the PO. I looked later and it was now marked mis-sent instead of delivered and it arrived Monday. I was happy with the seller, but I do believe she could file the complaint, but I couldn't. So the sale wasn't complete just because she had dropped it with the USPS. I did give her positive feedback.

This goes out to Logan or anyone else on eBay. eBay is closed for phone support right now. How you listing work is if you have 250 free listing a month and $15,000 Listied and sold. #1 You can have a maximum of 250 items listed a month. If you have 250 already listed and next month rolls over you may still have those 250 still up and as you add more listings. Then some of your old items relist they will count against the 250. Now you also may have up to $15,000 worth of products in value as items up for sale and the cost of items sold.

  • @WALSTGUY

Regarding the mugs. Like I always tell people who tell me they see people asking blank amount of money for an item on Ebay. I ask them have you checked the completed listings? They usually say, what are completed listings? Asking and getting are two different animals completely. Many just don't get that until 5 years later when they still have the items.

If you sell multiple items to the same buyer, the items are on one invoice and you can adjust the shipping and the buyer pays the adjusted shipping. No need to refund a portion of the shipping and the seller is not paying extra ebay and paypal fees for shipping fees they didn't receive.

If I became rich- I would take time off, travel for a few years, then prob out of boredom and out of the love of what I do Id be right back into reselling. I started reselling in 1998, its in my blood. Now, id be like you - I would not mess with 15 dollar stuff no more. I wouldnt need 10k items in my store and have to ship out 40-50 items everyday. I would find a niche like Vintage toys and only do nice rare higher end stuff. If i only had a couple hundred items in store, that would be ok.

  • @JohnZukowski

regarding the question that asked about pricing and switching from USPS to Fedex....
What happens occasionally for me....I'll offer Fedex or Priority for calculated shipping. The customer will pick Fedex because it is cheaper for them (typically due to distance). When I then go to print, occasionally, USPS priority will be cheaper due to the discount you get from eBay or if you end up doing Cubic on Pirate Ship.
So... in this case, with priority, it ends up getting their quicker than the original Fedex that the customer selected.
Almost like the reverse of the question you were asked.

The downside is that you get a different Ebay person responding each time you respond back with additional information. Each Ebay person seems unaware with what previous Ebay people have answered or requested. It's a very tedious process but eventually, I got the problem solved. I don't understand why Ebay can't take support calls with the support people answering calls from home.

Great question from Silverhair Stacker. I'm solver0haired too, at least what I have left around the edges. Here's the deal ...I'm not expecting any huge windfall but I already have three pensions plus [aid hospitalization coming in for life ... so I don't need to work anymore, ever. But life's _BORING_ . I don't like golf and I don't drink or watch sports, so what else is there to do ;-) I'm not a reseller now but I am anxious to move back to the USA in a few months and get into it ... being, as Lonnie said, very choosy, but working at it every day. It'll keep me young and active and learning different markets and collecting the best items will be fun. Many of you here may know Chris Lin from Daily Refinement. Chris and I have had a similar conversation on this subject. I mentioned that reselling is something one can enjoy well into retirement years and Chris called reselling on eBay the "golf" of the retail world LoL. Short answer? I would not stop reselling.

I'll usually offer partial refund something make them happy not loss of paying shipping return it and then paying shipping when you have to sell it again at lower rate because now its not new.

I think you were thinking that if you have all this money why keep doing all this work?
But if you did have all this money, why not higher people to list and to ship, get a bigger shed.
Now you don't have to work as much, and you can still do all the fun stuff, like going to garage sales or thrifting.
all the fun of reselling but with out all that work.

Tbh I think it would make me resell more cuz then I'd have no limit on to what I could buy to resell and I know myself and I would go wild.

Global shipping program said its unavailable at the moment...it cost me a fortune for small packages and I had to send them via the post office which wasn’t too happy about it..she says u can do this online u know...yep I know and I would have if it were operational at the moment lol...duh like I want to be wasting this much time and money...I lost money due to the double cost of shipping compared to what eBay said it would cost...so I manually shut off all international sales on my listings...nope not for me

A couple years ago silverhair stacker influenced me into to start selling on ebay, to buy coins for my collection. Last year I made 19k doing it and I've just been saving money 😂

Ive had to contact ebay over email for 2 cases in the last 30 days and they were handled in an hour. Before this COVID-19 bs It was at least 2 days before you would get a response to an email or case.
