Great videos Viktor but I'd like to suggest that you invest in a Gorilla tripod so you can fix the camera in positon anywhere. Aso, in the first part, you swith from the ETA before the harness is repaired to suddenly after the repair. I'd be far more interested in the repair process that the removal and installation processes.
What does the resonance actuator do?When I took the cover off I noticed the plastic linkage inside was broken where it connects to the flap.I repaired the connection with a small tech screw and epoxy.Idle and acceleration are fine now.Main concern is that I don't know how long it ran without the flap operating and what it effected.Thanks in advance,nice video!
Hi Victor Been combing through your vids on this topic, trying to determine my next step. While this particular year would be suspect for the problematic biodegradable wiring insulation, I'd hate to go through all THIS hassle only to find I'm barking up the wrong tree!!! So my question for you is this: Isn't there any sort of checking that one could perform with a multimeter BEFORE tearing into the TB removal? Or should it be sufficient to know that I'm getting error code 6 AND the cruise control hasn't worked since I had the harness replaced? OTOH, is there any checking of the CC "amp" module that might confirm/deny the TB problem? Surely seems like MB should have done a factory recall on this cheesy wiring they used - but that would be too much to ask. Just sayin..... as they say

I've tried to contact MB to suggest they do a recall to fix this. Guess what? Zero response...
