In past there was lot of training programs conducted by reputed companies, they will be providing training in each departments such as maintenance, drilling and marine. Later based on our interest they provided job offers but Now a days due to low price of oil, none of the companies are conducting any training programs. So you may need to enter to rig as a roustabout and later can move to maintenance department as a motor man or any junior positions in other departments. Here I just explained about a department as an example.
