Why do we have to pay the taxes related to education if our schools are closed whenever someone sneezes? They sure are closed now. So thanks Abbott for inviting everyone here, but our crime has skyrocketed and the airports are flying people from the border night after night, and education seems like an option rather than something essential to a healthy society. You haven't earned my vote yet, Governor. I appreciate your efforts but I see no light when it comes to actually improving our declining quality of life.
Just curious where you are located I'm bordering Harris County (Galveston County) and my kids' school have been open for a year and a half...since Harris County is the most populated County I'm wondering which districts you're speaking of?
I'm also wondering about your border comments--the federal government is supposed to be in charge of securing our nation's border and has not lifted a finger during this surge of migrants. Abbott has allocated money to complete the wall, fund testing for migrants, and relocated them to secure locations--all without the help of the federal govt
Gee, Abbott’s economic record must be leaving out all the money lost by individuals and businesses in last year’s electrical grid collapse. Not to mention plain old lives lost. As governor his first and most basic responsibility is just the basic necessities of life. It was on his watch that the failures occurred and it doesn’t have anything to do with political party affiliation. A failure to protect the people of his state from the electrical grid failure is the issue. It was a big enough and long lasting enough failure that he has to be let go. He didn’t do his job. If he worked for you as an employee you’d give him his notice. Oh wait, he DOES work for the people of Texas! Or is supposed to.

@@nataliemorrison5876 They are still coming through our community along with lots of fentanyl. Allocating money is not enough.
