Let me know how this turns out for you.. I just tried replacing mine and mine did not even spin. My brushes were not as worn. I bought the Ametek 33490-2 @@Andrewsnotes1
@Andrewsnotes1 no, actually what happened is that I accidentally unplugged one of the power cables to the PCB . All good now. Seems to work good as new now.
Thanks for the video! Our vacuum is still working well, but just determining how best to maintain it. (It is an older vacuum, but new to us.) I just ordered a new filter bag for it and now I'm wondering if I should check the brushes? Did you install a new motor? How much was that, and is it working like new again?
Yes, I am on my 3rd motor. It was around $80. Find the model number of the old motor and google it, you may not get the exact replacement; however, there are many aftermarket motors available. They seize up over time, possibly from dust in the bearings. I am not sure if the brushes would have lengthened their lives, but I am willing to try.
Where did you buy brushes and motor from as i have similar situation my central vac is not working
There are many stores and they appear and disappear. Just search for your brand and model and the words central vacuum. Amazon should also have them.

If it starts and shuts off like that at the end, that means I need to change the motor for sure?
yes
Thanks I bought one it's on its way. I also checked the brushes and they were still fine.
I have a problem. the vacuum cleaner turns on once and works, but after a few days it doesn't work. the green light is on. What could it be?
Happens occasionally to me. unplug the power and wait a moment, then plug power back in. I think the control board needs to be reset.
Thanks I have the same problem, I will look for a motor
When you remove the bad motor clean out the cavity, it will have a lot of dust in there.
