I have a very special memories with this song. It happened when I was 17 years old and in 11th grade. While in high school. I decided to take the R.O.P. Class "Retail Sales co-op". The class went on a field trip to Woodbury University and then the Garment District in Los Angeles, California. While we were around the Market Mezzanine, I went into that part of the building and explored it. It was apparent that Jesus was watching and following me. This was back in November of 1985 mind you. While I was exploring the market mezzanine, this song was playing through my mind and I see now that the Lord was enabling it to play through my mind off what He knew what was going to happen in the future. It showed that no matter where you are God is always there and loves you no matter what.
I didn't know why this was 1 of ure favorite songs. 4 u know I mainly listen 2 music & not really pay attention 2 words. But such a time as this. I finally know why.....love you mama olivarez along w/our 3 beautiful daughters that God had gave us 11/11/2020 7:39am on a Sunday morning
No one can escape God. For someone to do so is impossible. One day we're all gonna come face to face with God. The choices are in our hands : To keep running away from him Or to Follow him. No one is far from Jesus...no one.
Lyrics: A million dark alleys you can hide in Dig a tunnel to the center of the earth Convinced you've got nobody to confide in Got you questioning the sum of what you're worth People label you the black sheep of the family Come collect upon your prodigal reward 'Cause you can never outrun Or go beyond the reaches Of the long arm of the Lord I've been ashamed--I've been humbled and forgiven I've been chastened by my Father's loving hand But still, at times, I go on with my evil It seems to constitute the nature of a man But forgiveness is as close as my confession And my sin amputated by His sword 'Cause you can never outrun Or go beyond the reaches Of the long arm of the Lord If He gave to me all that I deserve This could be my final breath But with compassion in His eyes He's drawing me home Into His arms--Into His tender arms of rest There are pagans at the corners of creation Making light of the salvation that we know And with a small, narrow mind I give them over To the passion of the Godless seed they sow But, in truth, we have just as much potential To be Godly and perfected by the Word 'Cause you can never outrun Or go beyond the reaches Of the long arm of the Lord (The account runs through my father. Lyrics:
A million dark alleys you can hide in
Dig a tunnel to the center of the earth
Convinced you've got nobody to confide in
Got you questioning the sum of what you're worth
People label you the black sheep of the family
Come collect upon your prodigal reward
'Cause you can never outrun
Or go beyond the reaches
Of the long arm of the Lord
I've been ashamed--I've been humbled and forgiven
I've been chastened by my Father's loving hand
But still, at times, I go on with my evil
It seems to constitute the nature of a man
But forgiveness is as close as my confession
And my sin amputated by His sword
'Cause you can never outrun
Or go beyond the reaches
Of the long arm of the Lord
If He gave to me all that I deserve
This could be my final breath
But with compassion in His eyes
He's drawing me home
Into His arms--Into His tender arms of rest
There are pagans at the corners of creation
Making light of the salvation that we know
And with a small, narrow mind I give them over
To the passion of the Godless seed they sow
But, in truth, we have just as much potential
To be Godly and perfected by the Word
'Cause you can never outrun
Or go beyond the reaches
Of the long arm of the Lord
(The account runs through my father.
