The Collector has a sequel called the Collection, where the main character from the first one returns to guide a mercenary rescue party to save the new target of the Collector.
I think that the end of House on Haunted Hill made sense. You learn earlier why the house chose them, hence them taking their place in the ‘nothing’. Made perfect sense for them to then be in the shoes of the doctors.
Yep, good point! That, and the movie was wonderfully scary, with some seriously good acting. Famke Janssen did such a great job as the bored, malicious trophy wife, she had great on-screen chemistry with Geoffrey Rush, and I think the two of them enjoyed the heck out of their characters. Beyond that: it's he first movei I remember to break with the obnoxious "black dude dies first" rule, and, okay, they kept the "blonde slvt dies, hard-working honest blonde survives" trope ... still a fun movie.
The Necronomicon from Evil Dead is in the Vorhees house (yes it’s spelt Vorhees on the outside of the home even though it’s supposed to be Voorhees). The prop from Evil Dead was borrowed for the JGTH movie. Stephen picks it up and flips through it and the Kandarian dagger or a version of it is used to stab Jason in the heart and send him to said Hell.

No it’s not 😂😂 literally not even the same. In the mist he gained nothing by taking his son’s life. He already lost. She won. She was riding high then the twist came. Your pea brain said “2 characters suffered and didn’t end happy so it’s the same”😂

the reveal of the new "the thing" movie being a prequal was absolutely master class for me..the movie itself was ok..not mind blowing but not awful either...but that ending elevated it sky high..at least for me..I am a huge fan of the original so it was awesome to see them expand the story like that
Bea chose to turn on the others and go to hell because she originally sold her soul/made the contract to save the girls life when she was younger (when Bea was her babysitter and they were in an accident) in the first place and seemed to love the boy just as much, so when *they* were the ones she had to sacrifice to fulfil her contract she chose their lives over hers and the others. Not because of 'young love' but because *she* loved *them* more than her own life.
"But we all know it's never that simple." Honestly, this is just an indicator that the trope of ending twists is way too stale. It's no longer shocking anymore, it's just jaded sequel bait.
No kidding. I'm so glad you. Noticed, most people don't if you can believe that. Everytime I leave a comment about it I get shredded by 2 or 3 people in the comments spouting off reasons that they aren't repeats. Like stop talking you guys the more you say the dumber you look. Calling JJ Abrams a Spielberg clone is the biggest insult to Spielberg. JJ is a talentless hack who is only known for ruining Star Wars and Star Trek. His 'mystery box' bullsh*t is only his excuse for being too incompetent to make a satisfying ending. Don't knock the director of Jaws, Indiana Jones, Saving Private Ryan and Schindlers List by comparing him to JJ 🤮
13:26 Really, of all the horror movies out there y'all choose this garbage @$$ movie and that's coming from someone who loves horror movies that includes bad horror movies! The ending is so obvious if you use half of a piece of a sliver of a braincell pretty much giving away the winner before the game is even mentioned. I mean you only see one person in the beginning even tho there are like 10 people playing the game you only know why one of them is there, nobody else gets fleshed out, the kills aren't super imaginative, gory, or elaborate... They're fairly boring, so not memorable you can't help but unfortunately remember at least some of them. Not to mention the acting is ok at best and none of the actors (except for a few notable people) are like well known household names if they're known at all. I wouldn't be farther from recommending 'Would you Rather'... Just the little bit shown in this video is more than enough and possibly 7x as interesting.

Steven King's The Mist Should Be On The List And Also The Blair Witch Project
As another person mentioned the mists ending is a more grueling and unexpected version of would you rather as the father kills his son himself
The irony of saying the rest of the scream cast were unknowns while cutting to a clip of Henry Winkler gave me a good chuckle

Is “H-Twenty” a British thing or a generational thing? It was called “H-2-O” almost exclusively when it came out.
I believe it was called that and pronounced that way because the movie was 20 years on from the original
