The journey was horrible, but the campsite is great!

Ignore the negatives Bob...we love ur vlogs and u help us so much by showing your journey...its down to u and Jenny and of course Poppy that we had the confidence to buy a new Motorhome. The knowledge you pass on is invaluable for us novices....

Just to let you know that Dawn and I decided to purchase a Burstner Ixeo on the back of you’re videos so take no notice of the negative comments. Watching your videos during Jan and Feb this year taught us pretty much everything we needed to know, we’re now on our 3rd adventure and currently sitting in our MH in Burford. Our favourite video by a country mile was your 3 top meals in a MH, we were in hysterics, especially when you got the tin of beans out. PS, I’ve never commented in a TH-cam platform before, keep it going Bob and Jenny.

Very good video, the site looks really nice, Charmouth and the surrounding area is very scenic a place I know very well. Keep the quality video's coming, always nice to watch. Love to see Poppy exploring too
That looks a lovely site especially in the sunshine. The dog areas and walks are quite impressive, equally the shower and toilet facilities. Little Poppy looked like she was enjoying herself. Hi to you both just found your channel a few weeks back, i love what you do, from filming the journey which i have to say is like coming with you, and your attention to detail is a credit to you, the whole Motorhome adventure is new to me never even been inside one, but you have got me curious, have noticed a few neg which goes with making videos it shouldnt and if folk dont like any thing you do then simple dont watch, keep up the great work, xx

We love everything about them, the journey, the road signage, great tips prior to travelling.
We watched the one you went up Winnetts Pass prior to doing it ourselves, and one, the signage you gave, stopped us taking a wrong turn, and the blog gave us confidence to do it.

We were in a caravan at the rally field you walked passed (Devon) while your pitch is in Dorset I would of given you a wave if I had seen you. We love this site and the weather was great this visit, it is a shame about the planning as it will be on the existing rally field. It is a great site in a good location in one of our favorite parts of the country. Keep up with the vlogs always look forward to watching them.

This thing that you do...is so informative, from beginning to end. Great coverage of the routes to and fro, the sites and what they offer. When considering a site I’ve started to search your vids to see if you’ve covered it. I have a touring van (long, wide and heavy pulling with a L200) a set up is not for the faint hearted. Your vids help me to visualise those “sharp lefts” etc., that you often refer to. Great stuff and very much appreciated.

Was my first site when I had my motorhome, it is a very nice site, I came back again when I took delivery of my campervan. First class washing facilities and yes they replaced the old block. The roads in Dorset, not the best, but there isn't alot you can do but be patient. Will visit again after the summer holidays 😊.
That was an interesting statistic at the end about viewers and subscribers. Not what you’d think. 100k must be possible!
Your journey down the M5 reminds me of my trip from the Peak District to the Malvern Hills. We traveled on the M6 and M5 and it was awful.

Hi Bob & Jenny great video, Your traffic problems are not just due to it being June, but you have chosen to travel on half term week, so every man and his dog are going to be out there and camp sites full + it's good weather. Living here in the south, you know not to go out on the roads on bank holidays and school holidays. Have a great tour of the south ( Dorset & Hampshire ).

The site looks lovely. Must give it another try some time. Tried staying there to break our journey from home in East Sussex to Cornwall a few years ago, but only wanted one night and fell foul of the two night minimum booking at weekends rule,. We went to Crossways instead for a night in each direction.

Yes, it's not my favourite either been told where to pitch, but you can ask for a particular type of pitch. I think we were too tired to ask.

Can’t agree more about the M5, dreadful, we joined at J12 over the bank holiday, it took us 7 hrs to get to St Austell. That was our last bank holiday trip.
We were shattered by the time we arrived!

Champagne and fish & chips - looks great. Tough luck with with the journey Bob - did 1/2 term hols affect the M5? We went to Charmouth last September and opted to stay at Wood Farm C&MC site rather than the C&CC site that you're on - mainly because it's somewhat closer to Charmouth itself. We were tempted by the award -winning facilities which you were impressed by, but having bikes rather than a car with us, decided it. We quickly realised you can get to Charmouth very quickly on bikes (downhill) but coming back was the problem - it's hilly around there!
Was there couple weeks ago, good choice. Good dog running field across the lane. Ideal to visit Bridport and West Bay, enjoy. Did you manage to walk to the hunters lodge inn pub on the A35? Should've gone Taunton then chard then Bridport or Axminster then charmouth. Motorways are ideal for working people that are paid by the hour and therefore don't mind the congestion and queues.
Great review Bob and Jenny heading that way in 2 weeks time not looking forward to the M5 ,Tried to book Charmouth site but totally full for our week, but will find somewhere near i hope.Fish and chips look good gutted we will miss out on them.Any recommendations for visits around that area appreciated.. take care guys.

Hi Bob / Jennie I know you have a CMC Sat Nav, I just noticed you programmed directions for ccc charmouth site , does that mean their sites are pre programmed as well. ? I’m thinking of buying one. A sat nav that is not a site 😂
No, I downloaded the Camping and Caravanning Club POI files into my Avtex Tourer Two, which is a Caravan and Motorhome branded product. It gives you the very basic details on CCC sites.

Hi to you both, regarding the many that have not subscribed perhaps if you tighten up on your editing to condense time. For example waiting at the traffic lights after leaving the M5. Think of editing while shooting
The idea of that was to show the amount of traffic, you know like, it was a long journey, lots of traffic. Ah well, didn't work for you then. And if I didn't show me waiting at a traffic light too long you'd subscribe then? You still managed to watch it though?
Hi to you both, regarding the non subscribers try tighter editing to compress time, think of editing while shooting, cut down on real time footage like at the traffic lights coming off the M5. You could easily edited that video down to fifteen minutes. Hope the above helps.
No it doesn't help, might explain why you don't subscribe but my understanding is that viewers want to see the journey, the approach and what the site is like. I suppose I should be happy to get to 22k subscribers, some seem to struggle for ever to get anywhere. I must be doing something right?

I don't expect anyone to be fawning over us, but we're not the only TH-camrs in the world who get fed up with criticism, often the same over and over again. You should read some of the comments on my post. That's what keeps us going. We're only human.

Yes I know, appears to be the front brakes, I will get them seen to, if only to reduce the number of people who have mentioned it! 😀 Lot's of vans have squeaky brakes these days, something to do with the compound they use for high mileage brakes, these are meant to last 30k miles!
