Jagadguru Pujyashree Shankara Vijayendra Sarasvati Shankaracharya Svami made sacred offerings with vedic mantras chanted, purifying and consecrating the Garbhagruha of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi mandir, especially the spot where the vigraha of Sri Ram was to be installed. All the various Vedic ceremonies, chanting and Shastric tenets were followed strictly under Jagadguru āchārya's guidance. His direct involvement in the sacred rites follows the decades long association of the Śrī Kānchi Kāmakoti Moolāmnāya Sarvajña Peetam with this cause. Pujyashree Jagadguru Maha Periava, Āchārya's guru's guru, had bricks made with Sri Ram inscribed in them for the Bhoomi pooja. Subsequently, the Matha protected those bricks while simultaneously flagging off a Sri Ram movement inspiring people to contribute via the making and collecting of bricks, the writing of Sri Rāma nama, volunteerism and monetary contributions. Jagadguru Pujyashree Jayendra Sarasvati Shankaracharya Svami fought long and hard to make this temple a reality, engaging in discussions with all parties. He had succeeded in a solution, only to find that the Left and vested interests scuttled the deal by the morning and created a divisive narrative, ultimately, targeting Him as well. He never gave up, but instead, passed the baton to His sishya, Jagadguru Pujyashree Shankara Vijayendra Sarasvati Shankaracharya Svami, the Jagadguru Pujyashree Shankara Vijayendra Sarasvati Shankaracharya Svami, the 70th Peethathipathi of the Śrī Kānchi Kāmakoti Moolāmnāya Sarvajña Peetam. Jagadguru has personally ensured the wellbeing of all Hindus worldwide by ensuring that details regarding the Shastric Bhoomi pooja to the completion of the Shastric and Vedic ceremonies for he Pran prathista, were done in an exacting and proper manner.
