I've been collecting for approximately 60 years now and had reached over 15,000 cars and trucks of various scales and brands at one time. In my opinion this is the greatest hobby out there. I am sorry to say I did sell off a major portion of my original Hot Wheels in the early 2000s for a nice down payment on my dream home. Never recovered from that one, but still have approximately 13,000 cars including all of my original Lesney/Matchbox collection from 1960. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and have gone through a nightmare from the twilight zone ever since. I built a 16' X 24' toy room back in 2015 to house and display my collection, but the cancer returned for the 3rd time, and back to square one. Your video of your fabulous and amazing collection has inspired me to pick up the pieces and finish my room and reorganize my wonderful collection. I was laid up for quite sometime in various stages and could not work after surgeries and treatments. I got into building garage dioramas, layouts, customizing and restoring these little cars, and even creating silicone molds to cast many, many shop and customizing pieces I had made from resin. I had a great thing going while I was laid up painting and detailing these pieces. I even made detail sheets of logos, labels, and scale posters for wall displays in the garage dios and shop tools I created. At one time the net was full of diecast discussion sites to share your stuff, but almost all have disappeared except one I know of now. I just love little cars recently I have bought a few higher end ones, My64, PCM, Tarmac, etc they are really nice. I spent last night polishing many redlines after seeing a quick easy method here on TH-cam. Rubbing compound light with t shirt then new nano wax with t shirt I must say great cars shine, lesser cars look much better C4 & 5 up to C8 looks and beaters look so much more lovable.
I'll have to try that new nano wax. I have sat and cleaned and polished using everything from furniture polish to Mothers car wax. We have selected the greatest hobby out there...LOL diecastsociety.com/gallery-view/steve-stangfreak-mason-june-2019/
