That is so nice of you to re-use old Xmas decorations and make the gifts yourself. It really protects the environment and makes you think whether you really need so much plastic stuff.
I'm praying for your family members who have cancer 🙏 as hard as this year has been I think it's important to be joyful and thankful and you have shown that even though it's not always easy. God is working in ways we can not see or comprehend. ♥️
The most peaceful and soul curing 11 minutes in my life. Thank you Rachel! I’ve had a really bad day today, full of stress and migraine pain, so watching this video with a cup of lavender and mint tea as a part of my wind down routine was a real blast!
I think it’s awesome that u r learning all these new skills. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love a handmade or homemade gift straight from the heart❤️
Your boys are growing up! I remember when you were pregnant with each son. Your decorations are tasteful and lovely.. have a wonderful and safe holiday season!
I hope everything is ok for the family members who are sick, my grandmother has cancer right now and its difficult on the whole family. love your channel its so realistic and inspiring
Rachel, I have watching you for a very long time and enjoy each and every one of your videos. They are relaxing and very informative. Between studying for my Bachelors degree which I am about to end and then get ready for Grad school, taking care of my disabled Veteran husband, our 1/3 acre property, and our fur babies, I have found the time to finally learn the guitar which I have had for a long time and music has been a love of mine for years, the keyboard (again I have had that for a long time as well), sewing and I am going to pick up knitting very soon. I love learning new things and I find it very therapeutic and it's my time to wind down.
The kitchen towel turned out so beautiful! I love your videos on gardening and home projects! You inspire me to make home made lotions and soaps! Your acknowledge on herbs is amazing! Thank you for sharing so many amazing content! 💟🤗🌲
This is a great video! I'm so happy to see you learning and enjoying new creative outlets. I've been watching your channel for some time now and am always amazed at all you accomplish. You remind me so much of my younger sister who passed away from cancer 2 years ago. She was definitely my best friend in life and I miss her every day. It's nice to feel her presence while I watch your videos. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I love seeing what you’ve been up to! I think that many of us have been learning how to do more things that aren’t a part of daily life anymore. We’ve all become so busy that we don’t learn how to sew, bake, crochet/knit, can, etc. Then again, our grandparents didn’t have the internet so it was more important to pass these skills down. 2020 was the year of learning for so many people, learning how to care for their homes more, garden, etc.
I have sewn forever, used to crochet, but never could seem to pick up knitting. Been thinking about trying it again. Love your tree. So full and pretty. Your soap was cute. Will check out what I need to try to make it. Merry Christmas.
Sewing rice/lavender pillows are great! I also scented mine with clove and orange.. makes the areas of my house smel so good :) I just put them on the window sills and let the sun warm them
Your boys are so adorable, I also made homemade Christmas gifts this year, I made scrunchies , bath bombs, flour sack towels, and a quilt for my daughter and one for my niece. Keep sewing you’ll get better every day! Merry Christmas 🎄
I can't get over how big and grown up your boys are! Happy Holidays to you and your beautiful family. I really enjoy your videos and OMG your voice is so soothing and nice. You should look into doing a Podcast! I think a ton of your followers would love it. xoxo
I started learning to knit 5 years ago, and had planned on making my grandmother a blanket. She would give us handmade crocheted gifts almost every year. The year I started learning, I had yarn and needles in my amazon cart all ready to purchase to make the blanket, when she suddenly passed away. I never went back to doing that. I just stopped. Thanks for making me want to pick that up again and continue to learn and grow. I would love to continue in her tradition and give out handmade items for the holidays.
I absolutely loved reading this message. It made me so happy, I had chills. Continuing the beautiful legacy of our ancestors is a great gift we can give to our family, communities and the world. Sending lots of love. xo
I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!! I have been watching your videos for years and I can't explain enough to you how much joy and peace they bring me and how good of a reminder to take care of myself and my family. You have become like a family to me. Thank you for everything you do Rachel!
You are an amazing person. Please don’t feel bad that you are not being able to provide creatively to this platform. You had provided the much needed inspirations through all your work, and we love seeing what you are up to. I’m also stiching a painting these days and after watching your video, I’m thinking to start knitting as well. Thank you for the inspiration. Much love from Bay Area. Xoxo.
And sorry this is my first time commenting on your channel but I’ve been following you since 6 or 7 years and I’ve always enjoyed your videos. Your videos teach us about self love and much more, and I’ve always felt connected with you.
I was waiting for your upload from so many days. Thank you for giving a sneak peek into your new hobbies and inspiring us to be creative in these unprecedented times. Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family.
Ive been really "Not motivated", and have slacked on my channel. Im glad to hear another youtuber has also been focused in other areas of life. I am a spirit filled Christian, and discern you are very distracted with a weary heart. I hope all is well..I will be praying for you, and your family. the Bible says, The joy of The Lord is our strength. I have to remind myself of this when worry creeps in. God bless you, and your sweet family.
As someone who made scarves for 20 years and nothing else, I would make your next project a hat. It will teach you knitting in the round and decreases, which once you learn, you can basically knit anything! Plus, hats are really great gifts!
You can use mustard seed and dried lavender instead of rice. it is great for winter months as mustard is warm and can also be used as warm compressor if heated for few minutes in microwave
Dear Rachel, your videos take my stress away, really. I enjoy so much to see your diys and arrangements and your beautiful home. I am dreaming to have my own home one day ( now i have a rental home ) . I am searching inspirations in your videos and it is so calming and fun to watch them. Hello from Northern Ireland. I have enjoyed your video. I have been worried about how I can give appropriate gifts this Christmas as I am in the high risk group and have to shield...basically stay home to keep safe. I'm not good at internet shopping so I'm going to do as you are doing. I can knit, crochet and sew among other things and your ideas are really good for everyone. Hopefully I can create something nice for each of my family. Thank you for sharing and God bless you and your lovely little boys. v
Have you thought about holding your yarn in your left hand while knitting? It’s much faster and since you’re newish to it, I bet you could switch no problem!! I’m sure there’s some videos on it 😊
I am hand sewing as I watch your videol!!! Sewing has become my primary craft lately, it is so fun! I am making house slippers and kitchen aprons for my mom and sisters (each one gets one or the other) this Christmas. I want to make something for the men in my family, but I don't know what to make for them that is useful... yet. Any ideas for a dad and nephew? I don't knit (yet). I have fabric and leather to use.
Sooo fun!! I'm making an apron as well. It's actually so relaxing, peaceful, and fulfilling to create in that way. I've loved every second of it. I did make flannel lavender pillows for the men, but I've been struggling with what to make in addition.. Hopefully next year I can make even more homemade gifts. haha
I never see when you post something for some reason. I literally just remind myself that I love your videos and have to go to your channel and see if you posted anything and I’m subscribed obviously...

Your tree is super lush :) Can you share where you got it from?
Love your videos! I learned to knit too just recently from Sheep & Stitch! She’s great 👍
Am super proud of you.
One thing I noticed when you knitted: the yarn 🧶 is kind of wrapped around the left hand so you control the tension and get faster.
Over pinky. Under ring and middle finger. Over index finger and once wrapped around it.
Btw... you did not learn that at school? I had Learned all these at 10... (boys did as well)
The tree looks amazing!! Where did you buy? any links? TIA!
