- Hey! I'm back with another video. One member of the family leaves, and another one comes. We are preparing for lots of fun with family this summer! Hope you enjoy some of my tips for hospitality and guest prep.

Ina Garten is my favorite cook, besides my husband.. Try her recipe if you like seafood. I followed the recipe, but didn't use halibut, bass, or saffron to save cost on the meal.

Rachel, I am watching your videos for a long time. I wasn't married then and I used to always dream about having a house like yours. 3 years ago I got married, I moved to America, and my husband and I are living in a small apartment like yours. I always watch back your videos of those times. I used to follow your recipes, decor, DIYs. I hope we can have a house like yours someday....
I am not married or settled yet but if i am going to have a family i would love to be lot like you with all those creative kind thoughts
I hope you see it this time around: your pots and pans get so black because the ratio of oxygen and propan on your stove is off. if you have a blue flame they dont turn black. 😊

@@racheltalbott I would look up in the user manual or online for your stove type. Maybe you have to change the gas stove nozzles.

@@racheltalbott we cook with gas for many many years and our pots and pans never turned black. So there must be a reason for it. Plus it must be annoying to have to scrub the pots all the time.. hopefully you guys can get it fixed.😊

For awhile I hated when my house smelled like dinner. But for some reason anytime I visit my mom, that smell of dinner cooking makes me feel at ease and comfortable. I've learned to appreciate my house not always smelling like flowers or candles.
I never liked having guests at home but you inspired me to be more generous and make my home more opening. 🥰🙏

I'm so happy you're posting more videos! This is the only social media I use so it's nice when my favorites start posting more. I was so excited when you talked about your fingers smelling like garlic, I am hoping to start culinary school soon and every night my husband smells my fingernails and says they smell like garlic LOL.
In Poland, in countryside we have a lot of private houses and farms offering services like: sleepovers, vegetable or fruit picking, cheese making, vine making, depending on what they have and harvest. All the places are located beautifully, the idea is really simple, sometimes they host in their own houses, sometimes in little guest houses. I think that may be a great option for you as well! Lots of people are now trying to escape from busy lifestyles and agriturism (that’s what it’s called!) is getting more and more popular. God bless! xx

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too! CA has had a resurgence of COVID-19 cases but you know, my mum still goes to visit my sister and her family all the time! My sis as lovely as she sometimes but not always is, doesn’t worry too much about the virus! She’s like, “I’m not going to let some flu bug stop me from living my life!” My response is🙄I love her but🙄😂😂😂
Yeh. =( We are being cautious. Not having anyone else here right now except family members, and we leave it up to their choice on whether they feel comfortable coming.

Im 23 and I live in an appartement but I really appreciate your tips on hosting and I wish someday I can receive my guests as good as you do. One idea is for everyone to get tested before they come visit you! It is refreshing to see family but more important for everyone to stay safe! If you guys all get tested right before seeing each other, you'll know it'll be a safe visit to have and you're not just creating a harbor for viruses to spread in the house.

haha I was totally wearing the wrong bra with this top.. I wouldn't wear that out, but for cleaning the house it works fine.. lol
It's a sports bra from victorias secret. It keeps everything up! lol
