Hey, I love this remix. I use a similar one by another talented artist as an opening theme for a periodic debate show I run on my channel, and if it's alright with you I'd love to use this to switch things up a bit. I'll credit you in the description with a link, of course.
In my opinion, no Koopa's Road remix will ever come close to the original. That's not to say they are good, but they give off a more over the top vibe. The original isn't as hard hitting, but I think it's more effective at setting the mood. It's like the calm before the storm.
Too be fair, virtually every version of Bowser's Road has a sound of epicness. I remember when I got to the first Bowser Level way back in 1996-ish and hearing this theme for the first time. Because I was new with video games, when I heard this theme, I thought that this was the final level of Super Mario 64, only to recieve a shocked face when I found out that there was more levels explore.
I've got a lot of practice under my belt! I've got a template with all the instruments I use pre-loaded so putting together each tune only takes around 12 hours give or take

If there ever will be a second #supermariobrosmovie, then I would imagine Peach would actually be imprisoned by Bowser; locked in a cage over lava, like Luigi was. Bowser tells Peach that he's "learned his lesson before". Bowser: "You know what I learned from our previous quarrel, Peaches? Marriage is overrated. If I were to have you as a queen, you'd just walk all over me. So to avert that reality, I've resolved to rather keep you as a caged trophy, proving my superiority as King. Because you kept me that way once to prove your own before." Then Bowser leaves Peach alone and after a few minutes of cringing, whining, and screaming, Peach breaks down and provides a lyrical cover of this song. The lyrics would closely resemble the "Man On The Internet" cover, but they'd be altered to match Peach's perspective. It would be a slow elegy calling out to her hero; #Mario, of course; and when she's sung her verse, the music breaks into the old instrumental we all know.
Here’s an idea for this song: in super Mario odyssey 2 that giant triceratops skeleton in the cascade kingdom comes to life as a boss that needs to be defeated, eventually Mario, Luigi and someone else lets say daisy. Mario, Luigi, daisy all enter the triceratops after avoiding its attacks, and in the triceratops it is a lava level. Then this music plays while the three go through the level beating skeleton enemies in the process. I think this music would work for that since at the beginning it sound like bones are being banged. Then it’s life force is the boss in the level they beat the life force and the triceratops is defeated. And everything is just PEACHY.
They should have used Koopa’s Road theme for New Super Mario Bros Wii & 2 when inside Bowser’s Castle. Just a thought. I thought it would make more sense.
How dare you! Haha....I use FL Studio 20, but really most half decent DAWs can do this stuff. Most of the magic happens with kontakt instruments, I'll have to update my video descriptions to show what I use
Some honest feedback, it's an uninteresting remix. It's fine, not great. Next time I suggest incorporating your own motifs and changing the rhythm of the drums to be more unique. 2:09-2:25 is excellent though.
Sounds like this is what Mario actually hears when going up against Bowser, while what we hear is a "filtered" version. :D
