I mean the spirits in Aang’s time were angry at Aang for not keeping balance. Spirits in Korra just dislike humans, especially the avatar. Think of the avatar as an emperor that’s forced to be an emperor
agreed but in TLOK the point was for them to not be seen as special/ alien, it focused more on the spirit world than ATLA did ,which made viewers more comfortable to seeing the spirit world and spirits in TLOK, especially since we see from Korra's perspective
