Working in the weather, cold/hot/wet sucks, I am a mobile mechanic on the Colorado front range and I see it all. But the thing with a shop is, you have the cost of the shop going out every month, and you have to make that much before you start making money to pay your personal bills. I am thinking I need to get a house with a shop building, so I don't have to pay for those seperate

That’s very true. That’s why I’ve been second thinking about it. It just sucks working in bad weather lol

How much are you charging? Don’t need exact numbers just estimations. Also when and how do you schedule your appointment? Good videos by the way.

Every car is different. Could be from 100$-1000$ in some vehicles. Depending on what could be the issue.
And to schedule an appointment. I ask them for their basic info, plus deposit of 50$. Which gets credit to diagnosis fee or labor fee.

I like the $50 deposit idea......I kind of just started doing mobile more seriously, and got some of the cashapps, and started asking for a $20 down payment......just to try to help me weed out the trolls and non-serious customers from the serious ones......if they're serious about using your service, then they shouldn't have a problem paying you some money upfront.......to schedule an appointment......but if they're not serious, then they're probably not gonna wanna pay anything upfront......so is a good way to weed out the trolls from the serious customers......but have only implemented the deposit/down payment a couple times so far.

Manny you gotta learn electrical to really be a true mechanic, you can only run from electrical for so long bro

Yes I know. I know a bit of basic, and reading wiring diagram.
But when it comes to checking modules I get mixed up. Slowly I’ll get the hang of it.
