- In this week's triple boot sale episode, Ed explores 3 vast boot sales on a particulary sunny Sunday morning in the hope of finding retro games for collecting and flipping, modern games for exchanging and anything that catches the eye!
After a fair amount of dissapointment from the first boot sale and being caught cold by @coxtheman on Facetime with an insane Gameboy DMG pick up, we have much more joy at boot sale number 2 and 3, where we find a working PS5 controller, bundle up some Switch and retro games for a bargain price and find some decent CeX exchange fodder!

Splinter Cell for £10 on GBA CIB was worth it as was £5 for pilot wings on 3ds. FFIX for £10 is fair tbh (I sold one for £20 back in Oxford) but it was the platinum one so I get it. Project Gotham CIB worth it for £1. Glad you picked Wolfenstien up again lol coz that was the best of the bunch. Controllers can be a risky buy and boot sales. You got some nice bargans smashed it my man.

It would've been a good pickup. But I saw that copy and the disc had rot so I left it. So for Ed that was a near miss!

On the ps5 controller where ya options dont work, Spray some isopropyl alcohol into the buttons and use a toothbrush to get in right there , furthermore if that dont work open it up and clean the contacts on the board ...very simple to do there plenty of vids about on how to...

I went to my first carboots in ages on sunday and it was so warm that so many sellers was there i managed to spend a fortune😂. Im gonna drag my mum to another carboot on sunday😂😂 i draged my friend with me to one the other weekend😂

Great question, I actually have multiple cardboard big box packs without games in; I was picking them up when they were cheap in 2022. So I actually needed this one to fill a gap in a box. But cos they hard to differentiate I sometimes pick up the same ones by mistake

I have a quick question for you. Have you ever traded in a DS lite with a 3rd party stylus? If so, did you get a discounted price? I bought a boxed red DS lite on Sunday but it came with a white stylus so I bought a red one from eBay but unlike the official stylus, it's all red and doesn't have the white tip.

Cheers Graham and great question. I have previously traded a DS with an unofficial stylus and got full price trade in value but tbh I don't think they checked mine properly. I think with most things like that it depends on the staff member you get

I always find it fascinating how easy you seem to pick your games up. Where I go, the competition is absolutely insane. The games are sold before they are even out on display.
