    I don’t have a color system either. I recently started using only three colors. Gold yellow color for anything important to me, Purple for anything that is Godly or God related (I hardly use this since the purple is a little dark), and Green for anything related to Jesus or anything He said. So far, this helps me. Not complicated, but very simple. 💜

      Thank you for sharing this. I really like how you choose to highlight what sparks you , but also God and Jesus related passages. I'm going to think about trying your method in one of my Bibles.

      @@cravingpeace.try it! I started off by using six different colors and it became so overwhelming. I think 1-3 colors max makes reading and studying the Bible much easier.

      I love that breakdown, nice and simple but with a little variety! I like the idea of our Lord's words spoken in a different colour, for the Old Testament as well! I will consider this for future Bible highlighting ☺Thank you for sharing 🥰

    I was reluctant to highlight in my Bible. Then I began inductive Bible study. I cut and pasted Bible chapters from Bible Gateway website, printed them out, and started highlighting and note note-taking. My videos for Sermon on the Mount show how I've progessed into marking up my Bible. It's very freeing!❤🎉

      Oh wow such an interesting approach, so you paste the Bible passages within the Bible itself? I love how we all have such different strategies, thank you for sharing! 🤍

      Hi! I print the pages of Scripture and put them in a 3 ring binder. I keep verse maps and notes in the binder too.😊The best notes h
      go into my Bible.

    You would probably hate this but I decided to color code red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, and black… where each color has a meaning and each color has a Bible verse that explains why it means that. I also don’t highlight anything unless I want it to stand out… typically I only underline/circle words. It’s really helped me dig into meanings.

    I am just started reading and studying the bible and wanted to do some sort of system for me but was reluctant to highlight in my main bible. I bought a set of the old testament in the Spiral bible and it has really helped me get over the I dont want to highlight in the bible feeling. The spiral format reminds me that it is not my main bible, that these are to study and figure out how I want to mark up my bible. It doesnt make a difference if I mess up in the highlighting or in my notes because it will happen. This isnt a heirloom bible, its a spiral bible and it reminds me of when I was in school taking notes. So I started out marking God in the scripture in one color, the main character in another and the audience in another. Then commands, blessings and promises from God became another color. Punishments of God became another color as did sins and disobedience. I put all the colors and what they stand for on the front and back of apiece of paper and them washie taped it to the back cover of my spiral bible. When I got study I can then just flip the page out of the back and refer to it as needed no matter what side of the page I am studying. The Spiral bible also came with a wide lined margin for my notes as well. It wasnt a cheep solution, but then again I could buy the old testament in sections as I finished up one type of the scripture. I havent bought the new testament spiral bible yet, but I am thinking of asking for it for Christmas.

      Thank you for sharing how you highlight in your Bible! I think our first Bible can be the hardest to highlight in 🙈lol but it's a good idea having a backup one to get the ball rolling, for sure! God bless sis! 🤍

    I'm planning on doing an inductive Bible for myself and I'm playing around with the idea of transparent sticky notes as I can mark them up and if I mess it up I can just throw the sticky note away without having to worry about making sure it's absolutely perfect, not perfect just grab a new sticky note. Haven't done it yet, but I am planning on it. I have another Bible that I'm going through the whole thing just answering one question and really only underlining things but it's very colorful and has a bunch of sticky notes in it for things I've learned as I go and do an indepth study.

      Thank you for sharing! I think trying new things is such a great idea to see what works for you 🥰 And our strategies may also change as we learn new things too, so it's totally ok to be an evolving process! 🤍

    What is the thought that led you to tape over your highlighting? I'm so curious. 😊

    • @my-white-bible

      Hi Shelby, great question! So I did it with my first 2 Bibles because I felt they were just so precious that I didn't want to permanently mark them and wanted it to look as neat as possible 😅 I have since used highlighters on my other Bibles and will likely continue to do so from now on, but for the first time that was how I felt lol 🙈

    • @my-white-bible
      @my-white-bible  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ooh no, what's that? I can't find anything by that name online! Is it just like regular highlight tape but thinner? I did try thin ones a few years ago but the Bible lines may be too thin for underlining with them!
