The epidemic is racism...not autism. Thank you for speaking out about this. Edited to add: thank you SO much for touching in so many facets of the autism discussion...and for speaking abt 'treatment' as supports. Autistic people don't need to be fixed, or made 'normal'.
I'm a grandmother ,my grandson is autistic he's loveable happy and love hugs.I'm still learning his way and how he feels about certain things. My grandsons love bake chocolate chip cookies in a brown bag. When they see grandma with a brown bag they know it's a treat .They have a big smile, while reaching in the bag to get a cookie. I enjoyed your interview in reference to autism.
Thank you so much for this broadcast. I am so pleased to find this valuable information to share with a young mother I love and hope it will assist her with the set of unique challenges she is facing raising her child during the pandemic.
Thank you so much this has really encouraged me. My son is autistic and we didn't find out til he was 17. He is 19 now and it gets so hard at times for.The change in his life.
And this was her reality with 2 parents n the household. 2 parents of PROFESSIONAL designations. She was able 2 "silently protest" due 2 her proximity and access 2 legal resources when/if she was evr harmed n her "silent protest." N even with all of this, she STILL had 2 fight. So, with this said...the rest of us hav ZERO hope, promise r recourse. So, us and our children will CONTINUE 2 b food 4 the system n diagnosed/labeled, medicated, KIDNAPPED fr our homes as a result. Yall can go play wit sum1 else on whatever delusions u hav...I been there n done it. Also, living it!
