A HUGE help for me has been refocus. Stop FOCUSING on NOT DOING something and start FOCUSING on GOD. Rather than running away from something, run towards something. As the mind works, in avoiding something, you’ll ponder on it longer, but by focusing on pursuing the Lord you’re pondering on God things and as the Word says, seek first HIS KINGDOM and everything else will fall into place. EVERYTHING ELSE includes your sinful desires dissipating. Of course they’ll come back here and there, but when they do, just refocus again. Sing some worship, read your word, then find another activity afterwards
It’s not true. Pray daily on those things and watch Gods plan for your life unravel in front of you. I forget which verse it is but the bible says “Seek your (heavenly) father in private so he can reward you openly.”
Perfect timing! I unfortunately relapsed TWICE! in a span of a few hours. All I can do is pray and repent and stay firm as I am getting an interview follow up for a new job.
I also relapsed not long ago was being tempted again today somehow the Lord kept me strong spiritual warfare is real staying prayed up nd close the Lord Is the best we can do

I relapsed after about 7 months, it was after enjoying a blessing with family. I knew it was spiritual warfare after getting sick (which I rarely do) too emotional, intrusive thoughts were too strong even in my dreams. I prayed but couldn’t keep up. I question GOD what did I not do to get Satan away from me. I fell too easy this time and that hurts to the core. Time to fight back even harder! Good luck ya’ll. When i have those thoughts, i feel like people might could read my mind. I cant face people. I felt that, since i have those thoughts, that i cant face people.

Im struggling with opiate addiction, its taken over my life for the past 8 years, and ive recently turned back to Christ for strength in this battle. Ive been maintaining the longest periods of sobriety recently (ive slipped 3 times in the past 8 months), but it is getting better, and faith in the Lord helps. When I am tempted and have cravings, ill read the bible snd pray until it passes, and its the one thing thats helped me stay firm in wanting a sober life. The Spirit is speaking loudly, saying how sexual sin is the only sin against your own body. Not only that, Christ's body. And if we want--if I want to live outside that body, then fine. "HOORAH!" if that's the case. But I don't! So, the only path here is obedience, and recognizing that it's that fear of God I need to cast out this habitual sin. Thank you, brother, much love.

This video is so relatable, I have been a follower of Christ my whole life, but for most of it I have been struggling with p*rn addiction for many years now. And I gotta say the slope starts when you are the most isolated and lonely. I have been falling back into sin again lately so I need to take more drastic measures to stop it. Brother I appreciate your honesty. It feels good to know that theres christians that are on fire that still fall again time to time. In the past I constantly beaten myself up every time I fall back into sin but lately Ive been learning that all my sins have already been paid for. 22 months sober - Once I started praying on my knees in the morning. Giving our Lord homage and respect he deserves - my old sinful habits fell away and new spiritual practices took their place. Just like scripture says. Start your day with the armor and the sword 🗡️ of the lord Jesus Christ to do battle against sin. Stay soaked in the lord every hour of the day- scripture reading- Christian music- prayers - always pray and be grateful for your food - I play non- lyrical music low sound at my desk at work- my office is so much more at peace ☮️ because I pray for everyone and the non lyrical music praising Jesus- Holy Spirit is present.

Nailed it on the head. As soon as you get a little cocky or prideful thinking what you have done was of your own doing. That is where you will stumble and relapse. I'm reminded of when Jesus called Peter out from the boat when Jesus was walking on water. When Peter kept his eyes on Jesus he too was walking on water through Jesus's power, but as soon as Peter took his eyes off of Jesus even for a split second he started to sink and drown or "relapse". Stay strong men of God and keep your eyes on Christ.
I agree everything in this video except one. I believe we need to pray more. Prayer shows how much we need God in our life. It's a conversation with God.
If you have this habit of sin, you have to ask for His grace and Empowerment, stop fighting it solely in your own power. Partner up wit him. Yes you need the fear of the Lord but you also need to recognize the pure fatherly Love God has for you. You are his Child! He loves you more than enough to conquer your sin. The devil has you deceives into thinking you have to fight sin, and list. Nah, use God's grace to flee from it. Easier said than done for sure, but you got this. Model prayer ends with "lead me not into temptation but deliver me from evil" meaning we are partnered with God to fight wickedness and temptation. Praying for you to break free!

But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it" 1 Corinthians 10:13. Lust may be a difficult temptation to deal with, but the beautiful thing is, we still have the strength to overcome it if we trust in God.
@@oscar535 Having a desire in our heart to change. Confess your sins to God and profess your faith in Jesus to save you. If you then become baptized in the Holy Spirit you will be born again. All sin is washed away and you get a clean slate. The Holy Spirit will work through you now. Sinning will grieve your soul. You will see change.
Just relapsed after 2 yrs 3 months. My life’s a wash now anyway. But you’re right, it does hurt my heart knowing I spit in the Lords face even tho I don’t think his grace is there for me anymore anyway.
Something that helps, is to do exactly what Jesus did when satan tempted him. Rebuke and speak back directly to the devil with the word but do it in faith and with authority. God has sat us right with Christ and made us most high priests. He has made us a little lower than himself.

Brother, Christian men, and women, always need to pray more. I think I understand what you meant, but prayer is, arguably, THE most important thing we are to do. Time alone with the father is how we get to know Him. Jesus prayed, and he didn't even have a sin problem. I don't think you meant Christians shouldn't pray but, don't ever tell folks they don't need to pray more. Yes, we are to fight, and do whatever we can to keep from falling into sin, but without prayer, a Christian is dead in the water. Keep up the good fight! You are a breath of fresh air! yes, brother, I've been through the same thing just last week I was going through being tempted by satan with lies and feeling hopeless, alone, depressed, and all around unmotivated and I got in my head a lot to the point of thinking what even is the point of all this. And I did fall, but I remembered that we go through fiery trials that they might try our faith, and in it, we rejoice because we are part takers of Christ's suffering that his glory may be revealed Peter 4:12-13, and also because he first loved us and he has had mercy and furthermore grace upon my life. in Jesus' name, Amen.

ah yes, I call these the hurdles on the path. You can look at them however you want to help make sense of it but it is real. I see 6 main hurdles and many stumbling stones. Maybe I'll make a video about this. In the most basic way I see them as: 1 following Jesus when he calls 2 letting go of judgement 3 letting go of greed and self righteousness 4 relapse 5 patience 6 seeing what you still need to let go of.
everytime i got lustful or pervert thoughts, i'm immediately pray to the Holy Spirit to get rid of that thoughts and i ask Holy Spirit to fill my mind with truth of GOD, and asking Him to guard my mind so that dirty thoughts doesn't appear anymore. But as we depend on Holy Spirit in prayer, we should do our part too which is obedient, deny flesh, and build stronger relationship with Him everyday so we don't feel loneliness which can lead to relapse. The dude about wanting to stop doing his habitual sin, you can ask the Holly spirit and god to take that want out of your heart, the Holly ghost will not let you find enjoyment in it ever again and I dropped my 27 year habitual sin. I got baptized, back slid once and made me so sick unhappy, “go now and sun no more” I have not since. -Never would have assumed bro is tired. I do wonder why bro keeps apologizing at the beginning of his vids for something or another. Stirs up the fire. No apologizing for stuff you’ve learned to be embarrassed or ashamed of. I’ve been slapping down on tables over this kinda thing! -I’m starting to think everyone where ever they are feels like they are the only born again Christian in the area they are in and may god allows it. Nailed it on the head. As soon as you get a little cocky or prideful thinking what you have done was of your own doing. That is where you will stumble and relapse. I'm reminded of when Jesus called Peter out from the boat when Jesus was walking on water. When Peter kept his eyes on Jesus he too was walking on water through Jesus's power, but as soon as Peter took his eyes off of Jesus even for a split second he started to sink and drown or "relapse". Stay strong men of God and keep your eyes on Christ.
I agree everything in this video except one. I believe we need to pray more. Prayer shows how much we need God in our life. It's a conversation with God.

If you have this habit of sin, you have to ask for His grace and Empowerment, stop fighting it solely in your own power. Partner up wit him. Yes you need the fear of the Lord but you also need to recognize the pure fatherly Love God has for you. You are his Child! He loves you more than enough to conquer your sin. The devil has you deceives into thinking you have to fight sin, and list. Nah, use God's grace to flee from it. Easier said than done for sure, but you got this. Model prayer ends with "lead me not into temptation but deliver me from evil" meaning we are partnered with God to fight wickedness and temptation. Praying for you to break free!

But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it" 1 Corinthians 10:13. Lust may be a difficult temptation to deal with, but the beautiful thing is, we still have the strength to overcome it if we trust in God.

@@oscar535 Having a desire in our heart to change. Confess your sins to God and profess your faith in Jesus to save you. If you then become baptized in the Holy Spirit you will be born again. All sin is washed away and you get a clean slate. The Holy Spirit will work through you now. Sinning will grieve your soul. You will see change.

Just relapsed after 2 yrs 3 months. My life’s a wash now anyway. But you’re right, it does hurt my heart knowing I spit in the Lords face even tho I don’t think his grace is there for me anymore anyway.

Something that helps, is to do exactly what Jesus did when satan tempted him. Rebuke and speak back directly to the devil with the word but do it in faith and with authority. God has sat us right with Christ and made us most high priests. He has made us a little lower than himself.

Brother, Christian men, and women, always need to pray more. I think I understand what you meant, but prayer is, arguably, THE most important thing we are to do. Time alone with the father is how we get to know Him. Jesus prayed, and he didn't even have a sin problem.
I don't think you meant Christians shouldn't pray but, don't ever tell folks they don't need to pray more. Yes, we are to fight, and do whatever we can to keep from falling into sin, but without prayer, a Christian is dead in the water.

yes, brother, I've been through the same thing just last week I was going through being tempted by satan with lies and feeling hopeless, alone, depressed, and all around unmotivated and I got in my head a lot to the point of thinking what even is the point of all this. And I did fall, but I remembered that we go through fiery trials that they might try our faith, and in it, we rejoice because we are part takers of Christ's suffering that his glory may be revealed Peter 4:12-13, and also because he first loved us and he has had mercy and furthermore grace upon my life. in Jesus' name, Amen.

ah yes, I call these the hurdles on the path. You can look at them however you want to help make sense of it but it is real. I see 6 main hurdles and many stumbling stones. Maybe I'll make a video about this. In the most basic way I see them as: 1 following Jesus when he calls 2 letting go of judgement 3 letting go of greed and self righteousness 4 relapse 5 patience 6 seeing what you still need to let go of.
everytime i got lustful or pervert thoughts, i'm immediately pray to the Holy Spirit to get rid of that thoughts and i ask Holy Spirit to fill my mind with truth of GOD, and asking Him to guard my mind so that dirty thoughts doesn't appear anymore.
But as we depend on Holy Spirit in prayer, we should do our part too which is obedient, deny flesh, and build stronger relationship with Him everyday so we don't feel loneliness which can lead to relapse. You guys should try to sing praise and worship song, it will surely lift your spirit up!!!
