You're literally the only person to do comparisons of tons of phone lots of ppl still have. These are the working class reviews lol. Great review man S21 is still a beast.
The s21U is one of the BEST-looking phones Samsung or anyone has ever made. I still can't believe they didn't give us 2 generations of that look. I wasn't gonna upgrade my s22U. it's just im getting tired of the stuttering & lag at times. This started happening after the last update, 🤷♀️ i was gonna stck it out, but im thinking what the HELL.
It's quite funny to see the S21 Ultra compared to the S25 Ultra, the screen of the S21 Ultra looks more protruding upwards than the S25 Ultra, previously I thought the S25 Ultra's screen looked longer and I don't like smartphones that have screens that are too long like the Z Flip. and anyway, your channel is great, it's quite rare on other channels they always forget to compare the sound of the speakers, I think this is an important thing and thank you for answering it👌
I have the S21 ultra, and I'm looking to upgrade, but the ONLY reason I want to upgrade is for more storage. I have the 128G version, and it's about as full as it can get and has been for a long time. I dont care about AI, which seems to be the main new feature that they're pushing, and the S21 Ultra performs more than well enough for my needs. If this phone had an SD card slot, I'd be happy with it for another 3 or 4 years. It's hard to justify the cost when all I really need is the equivalent to a $35 SD card.
I just updated mainly for storage and battery life. I've had a 500 gb S21 Ultra since launch and I'm always having to delete stuff. I do a lot of content creation so it's really annoying. If I had an SD card option, I would have definitely stayed on my 21. However, the S25 Ultra is a lovely phone. Still transferring all my stuff to it, but hopefully I can get this 1tb to last 4-5 years 😅
@devilkazumi578 still a great phone if you can cope with the heating (I had an S21 Ultra a few years ago, the heating wasn't that bad with power saving mode)
S21 ultra was a great design. S25 ultra looks too safe. It's like they are trying to be like iPhone. Why would I want samsung to be like iPhone? I would just buy iPhone in that case. I know samsung has copied iPhone in the past but they always done it better instead of a direct copy. Samsung does have all the AI stuff which blows away iPhone AI.
Was in the same boat. The 500$ offer for a 4 year old phone and the 7 years of updates got me to upgrade, being that 15 is the last major update for the 21. Difference isn't massive but with the 7 year update schedule just means i'll likely hang on to this one even longer. Smart phones have peaked at this point, upgrading every 1-2 years is pointless now.
When you open geometry dash and says "Its not a huge difference" that is a bit misleading. In fact there is barely any difference. I slowed the video to 0,25x speed and the s21 actually comes out on top. At this point CPU upgrades are useless, unless they improve efficency for longer battery life. I really appreciate the video (left a like). But you could improve the way you descibe the differences. In the video it is a bit to suggestive. E.g when you open Pubg you say the s21 Ultra still qualifies for casual gaming, implying that the s21 Ultra can not play high fidelity mobile games. Which is just untrue. In fact I argue that you will barely see any difference even in the most demanding mobile titles.
Yes, great point and the $500 trade in value is the sweet spot that got me to upgrade. I'm not an every year type of buyer, so this is a good time to upgrade.
Huge thanks! A year ago I mothballed my S21u for an Iphone 15pp. Sure making better pictures now but hey learning a new system? My S21u was used for its first year as a 5G modem and hotspot so the battery is no longer perfect. Found the editing on the Samsung is even better!
I waited for the S25 ultra cause of the flat screen and rounded edges, but the more I look at it, the more I see Temu iPhone S25 Pro. I could have it right now. But for the first time in my life, I can't think of any legitimate reason to upgrade. And when it comes to tech, Im a good little consumer. I love innovation. So I have apparently reached a limit. Samsung is getting boring.
Do you use camera a lot, if dont one plus is enough for you if you just want your camera to only get things done ,one plus cheaper and have better battery life,Samsung better cam overall
I loved the s21 ultra when it launched, it was such an improvement over the 20. The lack of integrated Spen though really hurts it when compared to the newer ultras . I cant believe some of you guys are still using it now years later though wow.
Every big reviewer said the phone sucks which state clearly they never touch any phone beside their iPhone , I got this for over 4 year and it seems to be quite reliable
Appreciate this review. I normally keep a phone for 4 to 5 years unless the next one is a diffence, of night and day. So it's great when I find a reviewer that compares the new one to each of the last 4 to 5 phones, for people like me..
S21U was a great phone, thanks to its smaller width it was easy to hold. The only problem with the phone in all that time was that exactly a few months after the warranty ended, the display went out. Has this happened to anyone else as well?
Got both models in my hands , and now I am thinking ,was it worth it? My S21U is still doing a fantastic job! I really thought that S25U will blow it out of the water , but not. Yes it is faster ,and I can feel it when opening and closing apps. Also got storage for Spen, but other then that it is now what I was expecting. As a matter of fact, I didn't even swap my sim card to new device and still using S21U as main phone. I feel like I just spent £1000 on something I don't really need. I think I could easy stick to S21U for another couple of years- love this phone.
Honestly, the S21 Ultra IMO beats out ALL newer Samsung devices in terms of design. The phantom black S21U IMO is the goat of Samsung's designs. A close second would be that Aura glow Note 10+
Still using my Old work horse S10+!!! Only issue is that I finally cracked the screen, and it still works okay, but giving me a green flicker quite often so after 4 years with this phone considering an upgrade! I never buy the newest model so I know I won't get the new S25 Ultra, but looking at a refurbished S21 Ultra. Great Price on Amazon now, so considering upgrading to it even though it is a 4 year old model now.
i've used the S25 ultra for 2 whole days now and coming from the s21 ultra, its amazing. 4 main things I noticed tho along with all the other nice stuff: - The battery is litterly unkillable, I went from charging my phone (s21) twice a day (I used max battery protection so 80%) to having over 30% left at the end of the day (again same max battery protection). - No video will show it but my god, the display is out of this world, the S21 ultra is good but the 25 takes it to another level - The cameras are also wild, I cant explain how bad my s21 photos come out like for like. - The s25 ultra feels A LOT lighter
I love my S21 Ultra, but I swear, with every software update it gets from Samsung, the battery life shortens right after it! Like they are artificially ruining it so that I upgrade to a new model. It could barely lasts trough 1 day of light to moderate use, so I will have to spend the money for the S25 ultra... Great video, I didn't expect such little difference
Do you know when one ui7 will come out on this phone? Thanks for the video btw Also, should i go with s23 ultra as s24 ultra is pretty expensive, would there rlly be a major difference between the two?
S21 Ultra is ICONIC and the best phone I have ever owned. Was for me the last time a WOW phone came out that blew everyone away! Even iPhone users were tempted. To this day I have never seen or used a better phone. Sure the S25 Ultra is better of course. BUT I still LOVE my S21 Ultra...
My daily is still the S21U and so far I have seen little to compel an upgrade. I don't like the direction they took the camera rings on the S25U and most of the Ai features I wouldn't use. Still getting all day battery on my S21U, looks like I may be holding out for at least another cycle, we'll see what the S26U offers.
Wow what a deal you guys have in the US, In europe you get $200 for the 21 ultra, and you can sell a used one for $300, so I will just sell mine, but giving $500 for such an old phone is a huge motivation to return these phones. I guess Samsung Europe does not really want our phones back....
I have the S21 U and just upgraded to the S25 U and for me there is a huge difference. The S25 feels a lot better, the screen is really nice, the speakers are on another level. The camera is better, especially at night. And the AI features are impressive. Yes the S21 was a great phone and I never had a phone that long. But the S25 U is clearly better.
S21 ultra is the best phone samsung has made overall with curved edges, sturdy and well built good camera etc definitely the best phone i ever had and gonna keep rocking it till it dies on me💯
I loved my S21U, but it was unfortunately srolen last week. My S25U is set for delivery tomorrow. Its all about that snapdragon 8 elite for me. I play lots of albion online and mobile is my platform of choice.
Decided to upgrade mostly for battery and the spen (want to get heavier into digital drawing and didn't want to buy a pad). 21s charging port got dust in and no longer works but overall if it didn't have that problem/I wasn't into drawing as much I wouldn't upgrade.
I just bought a S25 Ultra because its the only company in Portugal who sell in installments for foreigners like me .I Have an S21 Ultra and like it bought in Brazil back them in 2021, but then, last year it presented a green line on the screen and Samsung didnt covered because it was bought outside of EU. they are selling s25 ultra 512 gb for 1300 eur, and they gonna pay 220 eur on the s21 ultra but IDK if they really will due to the green line. I hope so. Just ordered mine, mostly because of being able to pay in installments as also the AI features it has.
The big difference is that you can buy an s25 but you can't buy a new S21 otherwise I would (currrently have the note9). I've seen these adverts for "renewed" phones but I'm guessing that just means 2nd hand and I don't want to buy a phone whereby the battery is already on the way out.
Im keeping my S23U. Only like the flat display but the s-pen is a dealbreaker. I'll wait and see if S26U is anything worth upgrading, if not S27U, S28U.
Yeah I was thinking about going to S25U from iPhone. Once I learned they nerfed the S pen functions I didn’t do it. S pen is what makes Samsung unique.
The problem is the asian version or south asian version of this device has the Exynos processor which is very weak compared to the 888 processor the us variant has , even tho both the chips are known to heat alot
hi Matthew i'm from south africa , how much can you sell me your s21 ultra , amazon doesn't deliver it here . and in SA we only have the Exynos powered and its also quit difficult to get the s21 ultra
I'm looking forward to S25U anyway, S-Pen downgrade is sad, but it looks and will perform much better than Exynos S21U, that does overheat and since I'm using S-Pen on S21U as well, the rounded sides are not practical at all. But... I'm buying S25U mostly because I managed to crack the S21U screen which renders a battery swap too expensive. Otherwise, I'd stick with S21U for a couple more years. (Don't care about the cameras much, only as a backup when I can't carry the Full-frame around...)
How can i buy some one of the Samsung you review sir can i buy it in affordable price.?? Im still using j6+ i want to explore the flagship feeels😭 but the price is dam to expensive..🙏 please

Proof that you dont always "need" the newer phone. The S21 ultra did very good here👍🏻
Not the case for gamers
@bbxr1075right the s21 ultra heats too much
I dont play games on my phone, so no issues for me

s21 ultra is easily top 3 samsung phone designs. I hope they bring it back with an spen and a flat screen.
That would be nice!!
Looking at my S22 ultra and even the S25 Ultra, Im kind of bummed I missed out on that generation, design wise.
No without s pen snd with his nice to hold screen. Dont want another brick!
still using my s21 ultra and i loved it
How did you avoid the green line issue of the s21 ultra?
@KBYTE it doesn't have a problem with green screens only on rare occasions like dropping it or smth
Still rocking 21U for 4th year, longest since 2006 i didn't change a phone. That what i call a mature segment.
Same here bro
Hell yeah same here too. But gonna get s25 ultra though

Honestly the s21 ultra design is Awesome

samsung design peaked with the s21

S21 Ultra has a better design in my opinion. the camera portion looks nicer, and the screen is curved making it look more premium
But the chip sucks

Funny enough, the S21 ultra in en vogue now because the S25 ultra is now a curve display and edges
Nope, S25 has no curved display, only rounded corners.

Samsung is making sure that people dont upgrade to S25ultra. performance of S21ultra still holds up very good
Not that much has changed. No need to "upgrade" every 1-2 years.
The problem is the asian version or south asian version of this device has the Exynos processor which is very weak compared to the 888 processor the us variant has , even tho both the chips are known to heat alot
Think about upgrade next year because of os updates...
hi Matthew i'm from south africa , how much can you sell me your s21 ultra , amazon doesn't deliver it here . and in SA we only have the Exynos powered and its also quit difficult to get the s21 ultra
I love my s21 ultra. I might get the 27
I still have S21 Ultra
I'm looking forward to S25U anyway, S-Pen downgrade is sad, but it looks and will perform much better than Exynos S21U, that does overheat and since I'm using S-Pen on S21U as well, the rounded sides are not practical at all.
But... I'm buying S25U mostly because I managed to crack the S21U screen which renders a battery swap too expensive. Otherwise, I'd stick with S21U for a couple more years. (Don't care about the cameras much, only as a backup when I can't carry the Full-frame around...)
S pen is an absolute dealbreaker. This will be the reason in my opinion that their sales are going to suffer
Yeah im gonna keep my s21 ultra for 1-2 more years
What about comparing my beast mode s20 ultra to the one! Some of my specs are still greater.
How can i buy some one of the Samsung you review sir can i buy it in affordable price.?? Im still using j6+ i want to explore the flagship feeels😭 but the price is dam to expensive..🙏 please
