- I have been wanting to learn how to fly FPV drones for about a year and a half. I went about it the wrong way at first, but now I'm looking to get better (without tearing up a drone or 2).

So far I have been good at keeping with 30 minutes a day, and I am noticing a change. Just have to keep it up.
I just started my fpv experience, fly in acro mode, from the start.
Just getting into fpv stuff myself. I appreciate you making this. I went the same route as you with just a radio and liftoff, the crashes hurt the wallet a lot less.
That they do. I’ve heard the Avata can be better about not being totally destroyed depending on the crash, but I just wasn’t willing to risk it. I don’t have basically $1,000 lying around to burn every time I wreck a drone, and I’m not savvy enough to build my own (yet). I need to get back into practicing because I have let my busy schedule sideline this.
PC performance has a huge impact on your sim flight experience. I noticed you had some low frame-rates at certain moments, it might be worth lowering the graphics settings, you might notice improvements in your flight experience too :)
Huge thank you for that recommendation! I will definitely give that a try.
Surely I'm not the one having the same difficulties lol. I believe in a few weeks I'll get to fly a bit but for now it's frustratingly bad
@@SISU-Pro-Aerials is there a problem with the software? Is that what you mean?
@@Milledge.Austin No. Learning to fly is really hard
@@SISU-Pro-Aerials it really is. Have you flown a regular drone before? That can both help and hinder, I’ve found.
I have got question. Can I install Liftoff in 2computers from 1purchase; one at home and one at work.
@@chirots I think if you do it through Steam, you should be able to
@Milledge.Austin Thanks for response. been waiting for Radiomaster pocket and just installed Steam, but I haven't installed Liftoff yet. Asked you previously, so my daughters at home can learn to fly too..
Hows your FPV journey going? Haven't seen an update yet, are you still practicing daily?
Man, I fell off the wagon, so to speak. I got swamped between grad school, trying to finish the year strong with my channel, and just regular life (work, family, etc.). I am working on restructuring my daily time allotments so I can get back to practicing this for at least half an hour each day. I was getting pretty comfortable with it, just need to get back into it.
@@Milledge.Austin set the alarm and fight for your goal. Life will happen regardless! You got this.
@@CurtisPenne That's the goal for 2024. Set time aside and just do it, regardless. Hopefully I'll have an update in a couple of months.
@@Milledge.Austin What are you majoring in? Doing a thesis?
@@ontrada no thesis, working on a master’s in Emerging Media.
I’m having issues trying to get AVATA as my drone of choice with LIFTOFF. Can someone help?
Same 🥲 liftoff isn’t easy to use at all and I respect all the fob pilots out there that have mastered the skill to a T! 👌🏾👏🏾
How are you doing today? Do you have sequel of this video?
No sequel, yet. I got bogged down the last 2 months and my practice for this has unfortunately suffered. I actually plan to pick back up next week, aiming for that 1 hour a day of practice.
Get a hi-dollar usb cord... it will save you heartaches in the long run...
Joshua bardwell learn to fly an FPV drone will help dramatically
Can you use the simulator using the googles?
im used to air2s controller. This this way too difficult. right stick its all inverted, I inverted it and still super difficult, its not flyable as air2s. what goes right goes left, and so on...
It is definitely a completely different beast, and I agree. You have to basically turn your "normal" brain off when first learning to fly FPV. I haven't done it a lot lately, but I know when I have been in the sim, it takes a couple of flights for me to get back into the swing of things, and when I then go fly my Mavic 2 Pro, I find myself basically reminding myself it's different than what I was just doing.
My DJI controller keep disconnecting after the calibration. Any tips?
It might have to do with the cord, the port, or even the computer. I had to swap out cords a couple of times to get it to work on my old computer.
@@Milledge.Austin thank you.
I'm a beginner and is so hard to keep the drone fly stable without going up and down, I already released the springs but still hard to keep stable. Any advice?
@@skydoido74 I made sure to download the DJI FPV drone to the program because it does have a beginner stabilization mode. But the biggest thing is just practice, practice, practice. I haven’t in a while, but I was starting to get the hang of it after a week.
how do i connect my avata to liftoff?
It’s not the drone as much as whatever controller you have. In Liftoff you choose the Avata as the drone you wish to practice with.
