The paintings were beautiful in the first place, but they just came alive with the washes. Beautiful, thanks!
Thanks very much !!
Really wonderful the paintings were so good before but amazing after the wash. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Annette

Real nice demo in these ! Ill give this a go

Great. Definitely going to give it a try. Maybe it'll provide that golden glow you get in Romantic paintings. Thanks.
It can definitely help to get that “glow”. Experiment with different colours, you can achieve some interesting effects
J'adore, j'adore !!!! Merci.
Merci beaucoup

Thank you, this is very helpful. I do tend to use light washes for animals, but didn’t think about using a wash over a landscape. I’ll have to give this a try. Have a wonderful weekend 😊
You’re welcome Lesley. Have a wonderful weekend too !!

Very interesting... beautiful paintings!!!
Thank you, Ralph
Yes, will try this!
Great !!
Just like a light glazing for an oil. Nice. Thanks
Thanks !! It’s exactly the same principle, you just have to be a little bit careful not to disturb the painting underneath
wow
Thanks very much
Can’t wait to try this, thanks!
Good luck !!
@@ChrisStephenArt❤
I'll need to try that, thanks!
You’re welcome!
Very interesting. I'll try it.
Great !!
Merci beaucoup
You’re welcome
Muchísimas gracias! Aprovecho a preguntar si esta técnica solo se realiza sobre papel de algodón o también se puede aplicar sobre papel con celulosa?
You’re welcome. I would use a cotton paper for this. Cellulose paper could possibly work, but it would be a risk.
Thank you!
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching
Wow!
Thank you !!
Ohhhh!!!❤😍🤩
Thanks 😊
I love the painting with the boats one of the first paintings when you started the video. Do you have a course on that particular one? I'd love to try and learn that as my husband loves boats. Thank you.
Thanks Leti. I haven’t made a video for that painting, however, I take requests for subjects and techniques over on Patreon. Join me over there and send me a message
Wow ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thank you
I was wondering how you were going "improve" 3 already lovely paintings without ruining them. Silly me. That technique is a real eye-opener. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Thanks Robyn. I’m glad you liked it
Спасибо!Очень интересный приём!
Thank you
Could you please show us how you paint bare trees with water colours?
You can look at some of my other videos, I have several paintings of autumn and winter trees. Alternatively, if you would like me to paint a particular image, you can join me on Patreon, where members can ask me to paint their photographs.
❤❤❤
Thanks !!

Thank you !!
I’d love to get a palette like that - what make is it?
It’s a Meeden porcelain palette. There’s a link and discount code in the video description, if you’re interested
4:53. Enlightening
Thank you
Thanks Christopher!
I especially enjoy your monochromatic of the Lake District!!!
I’m from Chadderton, Manchester now living in Arizona. Bet you’d love the magnificent orange sunsets here. Would love to see what you could do with them.
I’m just starting painting & have a question, please.
When I do pen & ink - even using India ink - I find an issue with ink bleeding. Have you got any tips or suggestions please?
Thanks, Jini (Jeanie)
Thanks Jini. Those sunsets sound great !!
Good quality Indian ink is waterproof, so shouldn’t bleed, as long as it’s fully dry. You could try giving it a blast with a hairdryer before you add paint
@ thanks -I do that
Maybe it’s the ink. All my life I’ve been a spoilt brat and fighting “art”
Til 2020. Now I realize it’s a gift I Must develop and learn to enjoy. Started with oil as its more forgiving
But do lots of other things.
Is there anyway I could send you a photo a friend took of Dankworth Pond, Safford, Arizona?
. I’d love to see if you might like to do something with it.
Maybe ??? Via your web site?
@jinimurray4090 It could be the ink, you could also try acrylic ink, that might work better.
At the moment I only take requests for painting videos from my Patreon members. You can follow me there and send me a message, I will then see if I can make a painting from your photo.
This looks terrifying, but the results are amazing. I'll definitely go back and try on some old sketches first.
Thanks Beth. It’s not as terrifying as it might look. Remember to use a soft brush and work quickly !!

얘네들은 왜 수채화를 어둡게만 그릴까?
사람마다 그림이 다르기 때문이죠.
